I put down me sketchbook to pick up an incoming call from Jamie. My sketchbook was more of a picture of my imagination. Anything I felt like drawing or painting or just make real, became real when I wanted it to. Right now I was drawing another picture of some lips, half black half red. I think I'm going to create something for the boys' band next, but they still don't have a name.

I swiped the screen in my phone to answer his call.

"Becca I was wondering if you are free right at this very moment."

"Well..."

"Perfect. I'll meet you outside your house in 10 minutes. The Zoo is our destination so don't wear something that will entice animals."

End of call.

Oh dear. Stupid Jamie.

10 minutes later and heard a knock on my door. I had tied my hair up in a ponytail but made no further attempt to dress up. I don't even know if it's just Jamie or if Tony and Mike and the Vic guy will be there.

Another knock.

"Jamie Alberto Preciado, stop hurting my door. I'm just coming."

"Well hurry it up then!" He shouted unnecessarily as I was just by the door.

"Oh hey, Mike." I said as he came into view from behind Jamie.

"Sup, Lady. You ready for the zoo?"

"Well... I didn't really have a choice." I said, walking up to the car.

"Jamie! You said it was her idea!"

"It was she just didn't think of it." He said as if it was perfectly reasonable.

20 minutes in a stuffy car later, wee arrived at Centro Ecologico de Sonora, the nearest Zoo to us. After we paid and got in we started with the birds. There were red and blue ones with big beaks and small yellow ones that looked tanned. Loads of parrots and things I couldn't name. Mike said one looked like his old Aunty...

"Jamie stay back it'll bite off you fingers!" I said.

"No way. It's so cute it would never-"

Of course, just as he said that the bird began pecking furiously.

"Oww. Oww. Ouch. Ouch. Pájaro estúpido. Te voy a comer por mi almuerzo de navidad!" He cursed quickly.

Mike and I couldn't stop laughing. "Serves you right. What did you say anyway?" I asked.

"Nothing... Defiantly nothing about eating it for lunch..."

"Oh dear...

Next we went to the big cats section.

"Guys are you sure we should go to this but. Can't we get lunch first?" Mike asked.

"Mike, we just ate." I said slowly.

"Yeah well the cats are boring anyway."

"Mike bro, are you scared?" Jamie laughed.

"What? No. That's stupid of course not. I'm not afraid of some cats."

Jaime and I were in fits if laughter by now.

"You so are. Oh, wow, that's good." Jamie struggled out.

"Jamie don't. Be. Mean." I said between pants and laughs. "You know. There. In cages. Right?"

"Shut up guys. Yes I know, but they have claws and they strips and, and-" He stuttered so badly.

We were still laughing, but I gave Mike a pat on the back, as we pushed him towards his fear and he squirmed.

Mike complains a lot. Like, A LOT. He came up with the weirdest excuse, such as:

"But the cats got orange and black stripes which clash!"

And....

"They're whiskers give me anxiety!"

But we did finally get to look at a whole range of tigers and lions etc. I got some amazing pictures as well.

When we got home, or more accurately we arrived at Mike's house, only Vic was in.

"Where have you been little b-. Oh hey Jaime. Oh and Becca." Vic greeted us.

We all chorused "Hey"s and "Sup"s as we came inside.

Vic continued, "We having a party or something that I didn't know about, 'cause you know what happened last time..."

"Oh yeah that was funny. We've been to the zoo." Mike answered.

"What happened last time?" I asked curiously.

"Well..." Mike started.

"It defiantly didn't involve stolen Barbie dolls." Mike laughed.

"All night all I could picture was you being caught be the police and having to go to prison." Vic shook his head.

Jamie laughed, "Hey then he would have been in there, next to murders; and when they asked him why he's here he would have to have been, like, 'yeah, you know, stealing Barbies.'"
