"Is it just me, or has Midoriya been acting weird lately?" Hanta Sero questioned his fellow classmates. They, as in most of 1-A, were currently enjoying their lunch in the school cafeteria. Always observant. Sero picked up on Midoriya's peculiar behavior earlier than most.

"When you say it like that, he's been quite distant lately." Mina Ashido was the one to answer his question first. She was more commonly known as the social ball of 1-A. With her being basically everybody's friend. She saw how it affected her classmates. Especially a brown-haired girl currently sitting right beside her.

"Speaking of. Where even is he?" Eijiro Kirishima noticed the green-haired boy's absence. Like Mina, he had that vibe of befriending everybody he met. He was very passionate about everything cool being 'manly'.

"I think he went to the roof." Shoto Todoroki spoke up. Him being very quiet and distanced off from the rest, his sudden participation in the conversation was unusual. "I saw him walk up the stairs to the roof earlier." Ever since his battle against Izuku in the Sports Festival and the  encounter with Hero Killer: Stain, he had set himself a new goal. Make friends.

"If that is so, it is very ignorant of Midoriya to go there without telling anyone about his whereabouts." Tenya Iida ridiculed his absent friend. As the class representative, Iida was known for being very strict. His sentences were often accompanied by fast hand-chop movements. He was also involved in the incident with Hero Killer: Stain. He had tried loosening up a bit since then.

"He probably has an excuse to distance himself from us." Denki Kaminari said. Some were surprised by his sudden understanding of the subject. "If that's it, maybe he just needs time?" Kyoka Jiro followed up Kaminari's sentence. She had recently become more acquainted with the lightning-related hero.

"Still though..." Sero let his sentence float for a few seconds. He thought hard about something. That 'thing' was how an old friend of his had acted similarly. He had no idea what happened to his friend in the end. "I can't help but be worried about him." Sero looked at his classmates with only one emotion filling his eyes.

Worry.

The sound of metal hitting metal and screwdrivers spinning filled the large room. The loud sounds seemed to have no end. The only light inside the room did a poor job of making everything visible.

The reason why there were such loud sounds and why there was only one working light was one person. That person was none other than Mei Hatsume of the support class. The usual nutcase. Every support class in UA High had one. She was that person for 1-H.

She had light pink hair styled into thick dreadlocks. She was slightly above the average height of a first-year girl, standing at 5'4". With bright yellow irises including a cross in the center and a noticeably mature body for her age, many would describe her as beautiful.

She was donning her own style of a black tank top with black coveralls tied around her waist. Over her eyes, her signature red and gold steampunk goggles shielded from any sparks. Her lips were bent upward in a gleeful smile. If there was one thing everyone knew about Mei Hatsume, it was her never-ending love of making inventions. Or as she liked to call them - her babies.

With her unwavering concentration. Power Loader, her teacher, entered the room with crossed arms. There was no way she would notice him. He knew that very well. Both from the loud sounds blaring in his ears and previous experiences with his problem student.

He simply flicked the lights a few times. Mei was forced to turn around. She looked at the light in the ceiling with confusion before noticing her teacher. "Power Loader-sensei!" Always the energetic person. He often questioned her amount of sleep.
