[Authors note: I did a dumb and this is officially as far as I planned the script, so this will probably be on hiatus for a while until I figure out what to do next]

Alex frowned and crossed his arms again, this man claimed he was the one who owned the mystery pda, but he had been hesitant to answer, like formulating a lie

"I don't believe you"

"I can prove it"

"Oh yeah? How."

The man sat up a bit, he winced and looked around

"Do you still have my pda?"

"I still don't know if it's yours"

"Fine, "R.R's" pda"

Alex rolled his eyes and grabbed a pda off the desk

"Good, on the backside there's a small scratch in the glass where a stalker snuck up on me"

Alex turned the pda over and was a little surprised, but quickly frowned

"You could have just have good eyesight and came up with a story on the spot!"

"Alright, turn it on then, in the databank the very first Degasi voice log the first sentence is "this Island is a godsend! Look out the window. No preditors... Fresh food..."

Alex raised an eyebrow, this man was weird. But he did as he was told and found the voice log and hit play, he kept a stern unimpressed looking face until he heard the words, the man has quoted it word for word, no mistakes at all, Alex looked between the pda and Ryley with shock and stood up

"It IS you!"

"Mhm"

"How did you get off the planet? How did you manage to scan all the creatures? How did you survive? Where have you been!? How did you end up back here!? How did you get hurt!?"

Alex's angry unimpressed act was gone, he peppered Ryley with questions, his voice had gone all high and enthusiastic, but Ryley shook his head, his expression was dark and tired, but he smiled weakly

"I... Don't want to talk about that right now"

Alex stopped talking and his smile faded, something about the man's expression left a heavy feeling hanging in the room, something dark and depressing. Alex turned away and spoke softly

"A-alright..."

Ryley turned over onto his side facing away from Alex, grunting in pain a few times, within a few minutes Alex could hear snoring, he looked at the strange man on his bed and then down at the pda, thousands of questions whirled inside his head but one stuck out from the rest;

What happened to you?

Alex sighed and went back to working on his coffee machine, thoughts still spinning. After several hours and a trip outside for some food and materials Alex grew tired and went to sleep on the floor again, tomorrow he would have to make a new bed. He had trouble falling asleep thinking about the events of the day but eventually, he drifted off.

Alex's eyes shot open at a strange sound, he had gotten used to the silence of being alone, he shifted and looked around for the source, and his gaze fell on Ryley, his back was still turned to him but in the faint light he could make out the man's chest shaking, so that's what the sound was... Ryley was sobbing quietly, his breathing shaky. Alex watched for a moment, debating whether or not to speak up and calm him down, but he lay back down and frowned worriedly,

What happened to you...?

What took a long time for him to fall back asleep, even after Ryley finally stopped crying Alex stared up at the ceiling. But finally drifted off.
