Lexi's POV
I rode my last wave of the day, picking up my board as I made it to the edge of the water. I walked under a palm tree to dry off, taking a white towel out of my bag while I slipped on my leather flip-flops. I adjusted my sunglasses and took the last bite of my apple, starting to pack my stuff. I tossed my apple core in the trash can as I made my way to the parking lot. I hopped in my orange Jeep Wrangler, feeling my damp black bikini brush against my arm, and turned on my Spotify playlist. I sang my heart out as I headed home to get ready for my performance tonight.Madison's POV
I woke up to the sound of a notification on my phone. I opened my eyes, my body spread across my cool bed sheets on my white bed. I stretched and sat up, reaching for my phone. "How is it already 4:30?" I exclaimed to myself as I rushed to my bathroom. I slipped into the shower, turning on a playlist consisting of 50's pop. I quickly dried myself off before blow-drying and curling my hair, gently brushing it out so the curls were not too intense. I slipped on a black mini dress and a gold choker before checking my phone again. It was 5:15. I still had 30 minutes to get ready. I took my time doing my makeup, tracing around my eyes with black eyeliner, and finishing off my look with some mint lipgloss. I took a pair of black heels out of my closet, making sure they were tight enough on my feet. Right as I finished picking out a bag, I heard my doorbell ring. I opened the door to see Banana. "Wait, are you actually on time?" I exclaimed sarcastically as she walked into my apartment. "Very funny" she replied. I locked my door as we walked to the black car in my driveway.Lexi's POV
I arrived at the small restaurant, fixing my red velvet dress as I walked in. I was quickly greeted by one of the staff members before I walked to the private lounge, preparing myself for my performance. Time passed by as I warmed up. Butterflies appeared in my stomach. As the clock hit 6:00, I walked back to the dining hall, my heels gracefully hitting the marble floor as I walked to the stage, grabbing the gold railing as I moved up the steps. I got into position, grabbing the microphone stand while I cued the music.Right as the first note played, Madison walked into the restaurant, glancing up at you on the small wooden stage in the front of the room.
Madison's POV
I took a sip of water as I pulled up to the restaurant. I walked up some stairs covered in red carpet as I was escorted to the door, with Banana right behind me. I walked in to the sound of music playing, coincidentally one of my favorite songs. "Who's that hottie on stage?" Banana jokingly said. I turned my head and saw the most stunning girl I've ever seen.(By the way, if you want to listen to the song Lexi is singing, it is right here:
Lexi started to sing Can't Take My Eyes Off of You as she and Madison quickly locked eyes, before Madison turned away.
Lexi's POV
I took a deep breath as I started singing Can't Take My Eyes Off of You. "You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off of you." I saw a group of two girls walk in, one looking up at me, her head gesturing as the other girl looked up, us locking eyes before she turned away, her friend giggling as they walked to a table.Madison's POV
I studied the girl's long blond hair and her light blue eyes before she looked straight at me. I quickly turned back to see Banana laughing. I started blushing. "Oh no! Does someone have a crush?" Banana whispered, still laughing as she took my hand and led me to a table. We walked to the back of the room as I took a seat at a small booth. I put down my purse, turning my head towards the wall. I smirked to myself before I started talking with Banana again.Lexi's POV
I looked down at the floor and took a few breaths before I had to start singing again. "I love you, baby. And if it's quite alright. I need you, baby. To warm the lonely night. I love you, baby. Trust in me when I say". The song ended and I hear everyone clap while I slowly walked off the stage smiling. I quickly went back into the V.I.P. lounge to change into a shorter dress, and made my way to the owner of the restaurant at the bar, sitting on the stool right next to him. He congratulated me before we started talking and I ordered a drink.Madison's POV
I saw the girl make her way past my table over to a bar, sitting next to an older man who looked to be the owner. "Great job Alexis." he congratulated her. "Thank you so much." she happily replied. "Hey, Lexi! Your next drink is on the house!" The bartender said before she thanked him and ordered a drink.
Lexi. What a cute name.
While the bartender started talking again, a server came to my booth with our Italian food. We both caught up with each other while eating our dinner.Lexi's POV
I said goodbye to the bartender and his boss as I walked to the V.I.P lounge to get my coat, my small backpack, and my other dress as I headed out the door to the back of the restaurant. I sat in my Jeep as I put on my playlist once again, looking up at the pitch-black sky and full moon, lights illuminating the street as I made it back to my apartment.Madison's POV
Banana left a tip as we walked out of the restaurant. I was kind of upset I didn't see Lexi again that night. As I slid back in my car Banana asked "Why didn't you go up to that girl and talk to her? You thought she was cute". "Oh, right. I guess I was just too shy." I pouted. "Well, there's always next time". Banana sighed as we drove away from the restaurant. I parked my car in my driveway and let Banana come into my house so she could get a drink from my fridge. We watched Rick and Morty for a few minutes before she headed out. A few minutes later, I put on a oversized tee and my slippers as I sat on the top of my bed. " I hope I'll see that girl again." I whispered to myself as I laid down, slowly falling asleep to the wind blowing outside.(Sorry that this chapter was kinda boring lmao, next chapter will be better, I promise!)
