We're heading towards the beams of light. Once in a while, they flicker and I can tell Four is trying to keep them in the air, but also battle some of the Mogs.
Don't worry Four, I know where you are! I re-assure him
We weave through several city blocks, protecting people and taking out as many Mogadorians as we can, but it's becoming difficult to stop a full-fledged invasion. Although I fear for everyone, I've never felt so alive in my life! Working with one Garde and searching for another, we have separated again, but with humans with new legacies, we have a fighting chance...at least I keep telling myself. As long as Blake is safe and can take care of himself, I'm okay.
Another army of Mogs are charging at us. I smile slightly and shoot a look at Nine.
First one to kill the most Mogs gets bragging rights I say to him.
You're on Princess he grins.
I dive to the left, Nine up against the wall. I turn to rubber and roll like a bouncy ball underneath a Mog's legs. I can nearly feel the heat of his blaster, but I'm already two steps ahead of him. I go upwards and spear him through the chest. I use my telekinesis to grab a canon and smash him over the head with it. Nine is bringing the heat too, he grabs a Mog's dagger and plunges it directly into its eye. He uses the cover of ash to slide up the wall again and ambush a few more, slitting their throats. I turn to steel and shatter two Mogs at once, one with a direct hit in the stomach with my fist and another with a sharp kick to the throat. Something hits me and I have to try it out.
Nine I ask him. How are you at soccer?
I can kick some serious ass, why?
Get ready to score a goal!!
You bet!
I turn rubber again and come rolling at Nine. He gives a mighty kick to my shoulder and I go flying towards a set of Mogadorians. At the last minute, I change ball bearings and hit them all directly with sharp crunches. When I unroll myself, I'm in a pile of ash. It takes a minute to become balanced again, but when I see Nine standing over me with a smirk of approval.
"Those are some mighty fine reflexes there Princess."
"You're not so bad yourself" I grin with the same humour and grin.
"Pretty creative, I've never done anything like that before," he admits.
"Seems like you could learn a thing or two from the outcast" I snort.
"I guess Fatboy's legacy isn't so bad after all. You know he broke my fist once?"
"Doesn't surprise me." I shrug, dusting myself off. "You take some getting used to."
"Still doesn't give him grounds to..." Nine tries to.
"Guys!!" Blake yells at us. He's freaking out, he's creating a wall of fire and he can't control it. I try to keep it doused, with my ability to control the surrounding energy. I move the flames with my mind forcing them down so they can't gain the oxygen they need to burn down the city block. I start to strain myself, but the flames are too strong. The city block is basically doomed, all the innocent lives that are... We're supposed to be the ones saving everyone. If Lorien is in the Earth, why is it trying to get us killed?
John Smith! I say loudly. We need your help. My boyfriend acquired some kind of legacy and he's lost control!! We need you to help us. Please tell me you have some kind of water legacy
