Marina's pov
I hummed to myself, walking up the stairs to relax in my room when I noticed y/n's door was open. He must've still been unpacking, then. I was about to enter and offer to help, when I noticed he was asleep on his bed, a soft snoring coming from him. I smiled and closed the door.

Pearl's pov
I knocked on y/n's door. He'd been asleep since two in the afternoon yesterday. I was worried he was dead. I heard a sleepy groan from the room. "What?" He groaned out.
"You've been asleep for twenty hours. It's already ten in the morning." I told him. He sighed through the door, and I heard rustling.
He then opened the door. He was wearing the clothes from yesterday, including his mask pulled to rest under his chin. "Really?" He asked groggily. "No wonder I'm so hungry." He mumbled.
I nodded. "I can make you something. I'm a pretty good cook." I told him. He nodded at that, mumbling a thanks. I went into the kitchen, opening the cupboards to see what we had. Yeah, that should work. I get to cooking.
A few minutes later, I had a plate of breakfast (whatever you want) for y/n. "Here ya go, I hope you like it. I'm not as good a cook as Marina." I told him.
"Thanks, Pearl. I'm sure it's good." He told me, a smile on his face as he dug in.
I hummed, prepping some food for Marina and me as y/n ate.
Marina then entered the room, a sweater that's way too big on with a pair of shorts. "Morning, 'Rina. I made some breakfast!" I told her, passing her a plate of food before sitting down at the table myself. I closed my eyes as I ate happily. "Hey, did you get a tour of the town, yet y/n?" I asked the tall octoling now preparing for the day.
"Ah, no. That would be nice. Especially since I basically got to town and found you guys." He told me, a small smile playing on his lips.
I grinned at him. "Perfect. I gotta get some shopping done, anyways." I told him. He grinned back.

Your pov
I stood at the door of the studio. "Pearlie! You ready to go?" I asked Pearl.
She rushed down the stairs. "I'm ready! Also, Pearlie?" She asked.
I nodded. "I heard Marina call you that and I thought it was a cute nickname!" I giggled.
She rolled her eyes. "You're adorable." She chuckled. I just grinned wider.
She showed me around the square, pointing out the tower with the missing Zapfish and the Crust Bucket with the owner serving his customers like usual. She showed me the various clothing and weapon shops around the plaza before taking me to a place off the main square. She took me into a grocery store and we bought groceries for the week.
Pearl stretched as I finished putting away the last of the groceries. "Wanna get a cup of coffee? I saw a coffee shop by the square." I offered, "my treat, since you've done so much for me."
Pearl nodded, a smile across her features. "Yeah, I hope their coffee is good. Do you know if they have snacks too?"
I giggled. "Yup! I saw its menu from their little chalkboard out on the sidewalk." I assured her, grabbing her hand and taking her to the shop. "Here it is!" I announced, taking Pearl into the shop.
Pearl went up to the counter. "I'll have a double double coffee and a slice of lemon loaf, please!" She said.
I followed her and ordered my drink. I got (favourite coffee) and a slice of banana bread.
The cashier looked up, he was an octoling with red eyes and a set of messy blue tentacles. He had a sleepy smile on his face. "That'll be 800g." He said.
I nodded, digging out the money from my wallet. "Here." I said.
He grinned. "I'll have your stuff out in a minute. Take a seat at any free table." He said to me, turning around. I smiled and brought Pearl to a table by the window.
Pearl hummed softly, looking out the window. I smiled at her as she looked around the small cafe. The cashier came by with our food. "Hey, here's your stuff. I'm a bit out of it today, sorry." He apologized.
I smiled. "It's no problem!" I returned. He grinned.
Pearl took her drink and snack with a grin. "Thanks." She said, sipping her coffee.
He smiled wider. "Glad to hear. I'm Alex, by the way." He then left us to our snacks.
We spent the rest of our afternoon chatting and making bad puns.
Pearl's pov
Y/n looked at his cPod. "It's about time we should head back, Pearlie. It's almost seven." He said, standing up and grabbing my hand.
I frowned. "But I wanna show you the city at night. It's really cool!" I whined.
He shrugged. "Let's have dinner back at your place and then we can go back out."
"Fine. But you should know that it's your place as much as it's mine." I added, heading to the exit of the shop.
He nodded, opening the door for me and following after me once I exit. "I know, but I feel like I should do something for you and 'Rina since I'm currently still unemployed." He said.
I smiled at him. "I get that. You could probably help around the studio, cook, and clean." I offered.
He grinned. "That'd be great! I'm a good cook, and I'm always told I'm an efficient cleaner." He said happily.
I giggled. "Cmon! Let's get back." I said, practically dragging y/n back to the studio.
