Fred Weasley hurried down the halls of Hogwarts, his eyes frantically scanning every face that passed him, in the search for a certain brunette.

He was fed up with the distance between him and Giselle and he had figured that the only sure-fire way to get her to talk to him again was to apologise about his selfish views in their argument.

Everything George had reminded Fred of after their argument was completely true after all. Fred was scared of losing her again, he was scared that if Giselle found new friends that she wouldn't want to hang around with him anymore. They were really quite juvenile fears but at the same time held such importance to Fred.

But more than anything he needed Giselle, needed to talk to her again, needed to joke around with her again, but most of all needed her to be friends with him again.

The brunette in question appeared at the other end of the corridor exiting from the dungeons after her potions lesson but to Fred's delight, once her eyes met with his, she didn't immediately turn around to begin walking the other day instead she walked towards him with a smile on her face.

"Giselle, hi." Fred said the second they met in the middle.

"Hey," Giselle replied back casually. "George mentioned that you finally wanted to talk to me or something?"

Fred cursed his twin brother quietly under his breath before looking back up at Giselle.

"Yeah, I did. Are you on your lunch break now?"

"Yep, just finished Potions. I'm starving but that can wait. What did you want to talk about?" Giselle said as the two of them starting their walk back down the corridor in the direction of the Great Hall.

"I actually wanted to apologise."

The second the words fell off Fred's tongue, Giselle came to a sudden stop, her shoes making a horrible squeaking sound as she did so.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"I wanted to apologise for what I said in our fight. I was being really selfish and it wasn't particularly fair on you or Lorelei. So I'm really sorry."

Giselle was still in a state of shock but soon managed to shake herself out of it. "I can't believe Fredrick Weasley just apologised to me."

"What does that mean?"

"Well, I never really picked you as the type to actually apologise."

"I really missed you. I knew that I had done wrong and wanted to make everything right between us again. . ." Fred trailed off, looking down to Giselle with a strange expression on his face. "Is everything all right between us now?"

"Yeah, of course, it is, Freddie," Giselle replied with one of her classic smiles, full of warmth. "Now come on, I'm starving."

"Alright then," Fred replied with a chuckle as Giselle pulled him in the direction of the Great Hall.

George Weasley watched as Giselle Durand entered into the Great Hall, Fred Weasley pulled along with her. George just to have one glance at their identical smiles to know that everything had gone well, Fred had finally manned up and apologised to her and all was alright in the world.

The pair of them soon joined the rest of the group already seated, as Giselle turned towards Lee and Katie before she began retelling a dramatic story about something that had happened in her Potions lesson, wildly gesturing around with a huge smile still ever-present on her face.

George repeatedly kicked Fred under the table trying to get his attention, accidentally hitting a younger Gryffindor student across from him who turned towards George with a disgruntled look before turning back to his own friends.

"Ow!" Fred called out, staring daggers towards his twin. "What was that for?"

George shot another look towards Giselle's way who had now enthralled more people into her story before looking back towards his twin brother in front of him.

"I see you finally made up with Giselle."

"Oh leave it," Fred replied.

"No I won't actually as much as I'm overjoyed to see you two getting along again, what are you going to do about Angelina?" George hissed over the table.

"What do you mean 'what am I going to do about Angelina?'" Fred asked. "She's my girlfriend, I'm not going to do anything differently."

"About Giselle and Angelina," George replied with a sigh at Fred's complete stupidity.

"What about them?"

"Fred, you know, I know it, I think maybe half the castle knows it, that the way you treat Giselle is very differently to how you treat Angelina. At times Giselle could almost pass off as your girlfriend instead of Angelina. You have different feelings for the both of them, and you need to work out which one actually matters the most to you. And after the week of Giselle not talking to you, I'm pretty sure I know who does matter most. But you've got to work that out for yourself." George explained, pushing himself up off the table, turning to Giselle. "Don't forget we have Herbology next, I need your help."

"Yeah, no problem Georgie. I'll see you then."

George sent another look in Fred's direction as he already looked quite deep in thought before leaving the Great Hall with a slight shake of his head. Getting Giselle and Fred actually together was going to be a lot harder than he thought it was going to be.
