Timothée was speeding down the old dirt road, air was swirling around Lucia making her hair stick up and dance around her face. Timmy would sneak glances over at the girl smiling widely, and Lucia would discreetly smile back at the boy. They both couldn't contain their excitement of finally getting to meet one another.
"So, Timmy what do you have planned for us today?", Lucia yells over the wind tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Oh you'll see, I'm taking you to one of my favorite places first", he smiles widely at her.
Lucia smirked back at the boy feeling the fresh summer air run through her fingertips as she reached towards the sky. She was excited to be seeing another part of Italy. Lucia was Crema only once and that was when she was 12, so she doesn't remember much.
After driving for another 10 minutes they finally arrive at this grass field filled with little flowers scattered across. Lucia's mouth dropped open with admiration, it was beautiful. The field seemed to stretch for miles and miles. In the distance there stood a tall weeping willow with a string tied to a branch and underneath was a small lake.
Lucia looks over at Timothée who has a shy smile etched on his lips. This place was very special to Timmy's heart. When Lucia agreed to hanging out with him, he felt this desire to take her here.
"So, what do you think?", he shyly asks putting his hands in his pockets rocking back and forth.
"It's beautiful Timmy", Lucia breathes out. She was completely captured by the peaceful ambiance.
A sigh of relief left the boys lips, "Good, I'm glad. Want to go swimming?", he asks.
"Race you!". Lucia takes running off towards the tree causing Timmy to shout 'not fair' back.
Lucia laughs loudly; the tall grass and flowers of the field wrap around her legs tickling her skin. Lucia spreads her arms out at her sides feeling the warm air whip around her making her feel like a bird getting ready to take off. She felt so free.
Timmy not far behind begins to move his legs faster to try and catch up to Lucia. She turns her head around realizing that Timmy is gaining on her. Lucia only had a few feet to go until she was at the tree. She begins to pump her arms faster due to her competitive nature taking over. Out of breath, Lucia finally reached the tree and rests her arm against the trunk to try to recompose herself.
"You are so dead", Timmy jokingly shouts not realizing Lucia already got to the tree first. Timmy comes speeding around the tree. Unable to stop himself he trips over the root of the tree heading straight towards the body of water falling in.
Lucia's eyes widen, a burst of laughter escapes her lips as she rests her hands on her thighs trying to calm herself down. She couldn't believe Timmy just fell in the water. A few moments pass as she continues to laugh, yet there is no sign of Timmy's head resurfacing. Lucia begins to grow worried.
