Maria and I waited in the viewing room on the other side of the two-way mirror. Sam was talking with Logan in the test room, from what I could tell they were talking about brawl stars. I rolled my eyes, of course they were talking about that. Jordan and Moe were being annoying, as usual, and were making a ton of noise. Lia came in and told them that she'd give them a tour of the base, and the two of them exited the room with her.
"Thanks Lia!" I whispered to Maria.
Maria laughed, "Yeah."
Soon after Jordan, Moe, and Lia left the room, Harmon, Fiona, and Dawn walked in.
"Dawn? What're you doing here?" I asked.
"Harmon told me about Sophia's test, and I thought I'd come run the test myself." Dawn answered.
"Oh... that makes sense." I said, nodding.
Dawn walked into the test room marking the start of the test, whereupon Sam wished him luck and walked out.
"Logan knows about Sophia and he seems pretty upset about it." Sam said.
Harmon sighed, "I sent him a text. He didn't respond, but I understand why."
Sam nodded and we all turned our attention to Logan and Dawn. Dawn went through the standard procedure, asking him questions about his health and if he had any past injuries or if he had joined any other organization. Once they finished, Dawn asked Logan to follow her into the box, the simulator machine. But something seemed off; Logan had answered that he hadn't had any recent injuries, but once he got up, he was visibly limping.
"You see that?" I asked Maria.
Maria nodded, her expression skeptical. I turned to Harmon, "Harmon?"
Harmon sighed shakily, "Yeah, I see it."
It wasn't long until Dawn saw it too. Dawn raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure you don't have any injuries?" She asked again.
Logan nodded, "Yes."
"Well, I can see that you're limping from a leg injury." Dawn said.
Logan sighed, "Fine, yes I hurt my leg."
Dawn let her clipboard fall to her side, "I'm sorry, but you're going to have to wait till you heal to apply for a soldier."
"I don't want to be a soldier."
"What?" Harmon whispered, "That's not right. I remember that he wanted to be a soldier."
"What do you want to apply for then?" Dawn asked.
"Research." Logan answered.
Harmon drew back, confused. "I don't understand."
"Neither do I, what made him change his mind so suddenly?" Fiona said.
Harmon shook his head, "I don't know."
"It doesn't seem like Logan to want to get into Research. All he could talk about was getting into the Military division." Sam said.
"Wait," Maria said, "I shot Deathslinger in the leg..."
"Are you saying that Logan... is Deathslinger?" I asked, not sure what Maria was suggesting.
"Yes." Maria clarified, "I'm saying that Logan is Deathslinger."
"That's ridiculous!" I quietly exclaimed.
"Maybe not too ridiculous. Why did Sophia join Black Arrow?" Fiona said, knitting her eyebrows together.
"It could be something else..." Harmon suggested, "We play sports, he could have easily been injured playing. You know what, I'm going to go ask him."
