Chapter 21

Cody POV

(Aaliyah's hair for the wedding)

Christian: "I'd like to propose a toast. To Aaliyah and Cody. May they stay together for ever."

We raised our glass and sipped. Me and Aaliyah had Sparkling Fruit Punch to drink. For the kids.

We got up and danced around. We did the cupid shuffle. Than we did the Cha Cha slide. Aaliyah's family was black. On her moms side.

My family was more Mexican.

When Aaliyah threw her banquet of flowers Melissa caught it.

As the fun continued I didn't notice Christian dancing. He was sitting down lookin into space.

I made my way over to him and took a seat.

Me: "What's up Christian."

Christian: "Whats up."

Me: "What you doing? Why you just sitting here?"

Christian: "Ahh. I'm just tired. Ready to sleep."

Me: "Yeah I understand." I said rubbing my hand through my hair."

Travis: "Yall supposed to be turning up." He said still dancing.

Christian: "Come on."

We got up and danced like it was our last.

I looked at Aaliyah who was taking pictures with others.

Her and her mom was taking a picture.

I walked over and joined in. Then my mom came.

Mom: "Well we're finna leave. Congrats you two."

Together: "Thanks."

As everybody started leaving we decided to dance together one last time.

Taking it slow.

She rested her head on my shoulder.

Me: "I love you baby."

Wife: "I love you too."

I kissed her and we walked out. We went to the limousine and got In. She rested her head on me as we rode silently.

We pulled up to the house and walked in. Tonight was the last night sleeping here. And I was going to enjoy it. We walked upstairs to our room and seen a gift on the bed.

It was from my Dad.

Aaliyah: "Open it."

Me: "I will in the morning."

Aaliyah: "Well I'm going to take a shower. "

Me: "I'm taking one too."

We took a shower together and it was nothing but a shower.

I had to help her clean herself. She is really big but shush

We got out and laid on the bed. I turned the TV off and we just laid in silence.

Me: "Why are y'all still in there?"

I asked placing my hand on her belly.

Aaliyah: "They are due in two days. They can stay."
