• the next morning ...

i wake up in a unfamiliar surrounding. i then have a flashback to last nights events at the fair. i smile. i turn myself over and stare at josh. i caress his jaw and draw little circles on his chest.

his mouth is parted a little and little snores are coming out. the cutest thing ever.

"you're staring princess" josh peeled his eyes open and sat up. i sat up with him and rested my head on his chest. "actually i'm admiring" i look up at him. he looks down at me and kisses me gently.

i smile. "i'm hungry" josh whispers. i nod in response.

"me too" i laugh.

he smiles. "do you wanna go out for breakfast?"

"josh.. i can cook" i laugh. i get up and skip to the door. i open it and skip down the stairs too.

i make it to the kitchen, josh not far behind me. when he catches up to me he snakes his hands around my waist. he puts his chin on my shoulder.

"and what would you guys like?" i look behind me and look at him.

"i mean they like bacon, eggs, all that jazz, but you know what i'd like?" he hugs me.

"hmm?" i furrow my eyebrow.

"you" he kisses my neck.

i giggle. "how much id love that josh but i wanna make breakfast" i pout.

i make breakfast and i hear everyone come down.

"oh! and who might you be, sweetheart" his mom greets me.

"i'm haley! nice to meet you" i go to shake her hand, but she pulls me into a hug.

"nice to meet you too sweetheart. josh has told me a lot about you." she smirks.

"only good things i hope." i wink at josh. he rolls his eyes.

after breakfast me and josh went back up to his room.

"your mom is nice" i look him in the eye. he look me in the eye too.

"thank you, but when will i meet yours??" he genuinely asks. i gulp and look everywhere but joshs face.

he gives me a confused look, then puts his index finger under my chin to make me look at him.

"uhm.. i don't really have a mom, or a dad in that case... i lived with audrey. i don't know my parents." i look down.

he still has that confused look on his face.

"i'm adopted josh. hence why i live, or lived with audrey. she was the only thing i had left. and now that's gone. out the window." i start tearing up. he pulls me into the tightest hug. i sob into his champion hoodie.

"why don't we just cuddle and watch netflix all day?" he looks down at me. i nod.

• a year later , February 24th 2020...

so turns out there's this deadly virus, called something along the lines of corona? can't remember.

i've spent almost a year at josh's, his family doesn't mind at all which i'm so thankful for.

i really haven't explained anything about griffin, audrey, and tyler. i couldn't give two shits about audrey and tyler, i heard she was pregnant though? not a surprise.

griffin on the other hand; yes i do miss him, but i don't at the same time.

me and josh are together now, we've been dating for about 11 and a half months. almost a year!! sucks we're gonna have our 1 year anniversary inside.

"josh?" i call out.

"hmm?" he calls back.

"come upstairs bubba" i start to smile when i hear joshs footsteps come up the stairs. he opens the door and smiles.

i put my arms out signalling i want cuddles. he puts his phone on the night stand and hops into my arms. i wrap my arms around his back.

i feel him start kissing my neck.

"hmm, josh not right now?? i just wanna cuddle, since were quarantined for a few months, we have all the time" i wink playfully. he smirks.

we both doze off into a deep sleep.

i have a smile on my face because of how lucky i am.
