AFTER LUKE'S TRIP to vietnam, he decided he wanted to meet up with calum; screw 'wanted to', he needed to. he sensed some tension between them after sierra's last post, he wasn't sure why though.

his flight landed at 6 am, he had taken the earliest flight to new york city that he could book and flew all across from los angeles. he had made a phone call earlier, asking calum if he could stay with him, to which, he hesitantly agreed.

to be honest, calum wasn't sure why he had reacted the way he did to a simple instagram post, but he did know he didn't like what he felt about it. he agreed to let luke stay at his place for a few days, but he had no idea why he was in new york in the first place.

he argued with luke, trying to convince him that he could just go pick him up himself, but the blonde won the argument, his main point being, 'i don't want you to be up that early'. it was a weak reason, but calum gave in.

even though luke has told him he didn't want him to be up early, calum stayed up waiting for a phone call from him or a knock on his front door. eventually, he heard both.

he picked up his phone first, "mate, i really should've checked the weather this morning, it's raining so hard." calum rolled his eyes, a grin appearing on his lips, "are you gonna open the door or..." at hearing this, he ran downstairs and opened the door to see a soaked luke hemmings.

they both held their phones to their ears, but as soon as they saw each other, their phones were put away and to both of their surprises, luke had leaned forward to join their lips.

he knew it was a risk, a huge risk, and he also knew that his impulsive decisions never resulted in anything good, but all his doubts went away when he felt the brunette kiss him back.

the kiss had been long overdue and it was obvious in the way that they kissed each other, with passion and with the tiniest bit of desperation, but after all, it was their first kiss together, so it didn't last as long as they wanted it to.

"where should i put my bags?" luke asked, as he proceeded to pretend like nothing had just happened.

calum felt a a blush creep onto his cheeks slowly, "upstairs." he couldn't wipe the stupid grin off his face, but really, he just didn't want to.
