"H-hello?"

"ARTHUR?! IS EVERYTHING OKAY IN THERE??"

"Alfred, stop yelling so loudly! Yes, I'm fine!"

"Why didn't you answer?"

"I was doing work."

"...I know you're lying, there probably wasn't even a point in asking.. Francis told me about your dad hurting you.. Your mom.. Your self harm.. Arthur, please talk to me, I want to help you."

Arthur didn't know what to say. Francis had broken his promise.

"Arthur? Please say something.."

"Don't you dare tell a soul."

"Francis already made me promise that, he said he wasn't supposed to tell me. I mean, I don't think it should be a secret, but I understand if you're not ready to tell anyone."

"I just.. There's a lot going on right now and.. I don't know.."

"Is it alright if I come over?"

"NO! I mean- no. Please don't.."

Alfred sighed.

"Okay.."

"I'm sorry, I'm just afraid."

"Do you want a hug sometime soon? I should be riding the bus now tomorrow, my mom only came to pick Mattie and I up today cuz she already had some sort of issue with the principal."

Arthur laughed quietly.

"I'm not entirely surprised, I don't think anyone really likes him."

"You didn't answer my question."

"Yes, I'd love a hug tomorrow."

"Aw yeah."

Arthur and Alfred continued to talk until it was 11:03 p.m. (Arthur fell asleep).

The next morning, Arthur woke up to his alarm blaring. It was currently 5:45 A.M.

"Welp, time to make sure I don't wake him up."

The Brit quietly got dressed, now wearing a short sleeved Def Leppard shirt, with a baggy hoodie over it, black jeans and green converse.

He went through his morning routine, and triple checked his bag to ensure he had everything he needed.

He looked at the time.

6:05

"Bloody hell, why can't I take longer? The bus doesn't get here til 7:45.."

Arthur sighed and decided to go downstairs. He put his phone charger in his bag and slung it over his shoulder, and slid his phone into his hoodie pocket.

He slowly unlocked his door and looked both ways down the dark hallway. Arthur held his breath as he tiptoed out and down the stairs, wincing as they creaked. He exhaled as he made it to the kitchen.

Arthur let out a terrified scream as he felt someone grab him from behind, covering his mouth.

He felt hot tears running down his face, he knew exactly who it was.

"I think we 'ave a bit of time to spare before yer bus gets 'ere, don't ya think?"

"P-please.. Don't.."

Arthur's father jerked him around and slapped him.

"Don't tell me what to do! I do as I please!"

The drunken man pushed Arthur up against the counter. The Brit winced and shut his eyes tight, he felt his heart pounding in his chest.

'He's doing it again..'
