*just wanted to let y'all know it's currently September in the story. Im making it September fourth bc why not*

After finishing the notes for Algebra 2, the class had five minutes left to do basically whatever. As long as no one died.

“So, what’s the plan for after school today?”

“I’ll write the note on the bus, run to my house and tape it to the door, then run back to you.”

“You could start it now, cuz it’s kinda hard to write stuff on the bus.”

“I do homework on the bus.”

“That’s just you, you have some sort of super power to be able to do that.”

Arthur took out a piece of paper and pencil.

“Still wouldn’t hurt to start, like you said.”

“Don’t forget to mention how you’re staying the night.”

Dad,

I went to the neighbour’s house to work on a creative writing project. I’ll also be staying the night with them, they said their mum would be okay with it.

I’ll be back soon,

Arthur.

“Yay, Artie’s coming over!”

The group now stood at their bus stop. Alfred kept trying to argue with his brother about bringing Gilbert with him.

Arthur was currently running up to his door, hoping his father wasn’t waiting for him on the other side. He quickly taped the note to the door and ran back to the trio.

“Alfred it is not that big of a deal!”

Arthur stood beside Gilbert.

“Alfred.”

He looked to the Brit.

“What?”

“Gilbert is not that bad, I’ve been in the same four periods with him this year, and he’s nicer than you think. The two of you are more similar than you think.”

“Fiiiiiine. But I’m watching you.”

“No you will not be, we’re going to work on the project, and I’m also helping you with the math today because you kept complaining about not being able to understand it.”

Alfred pouted and opened the door to his house.

“Moooom! We’re home and we have friends!”

“Alfred has friends?!”

Gilbert laughed as Alfred and Matt’s mom came into view. She was a few inches shorter than the twins, had medium length blonde hair, and light violet eyes.

“Moooom, don’t embarrass meeeee.”

“Oh please, it’s my job to embarrass my twins in front of their friends.”

She looked to Arthur and Gilbert.

“My name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam if you’d like. Born in Canada, moved to the southern states at age five, now we’re here. What about you two?”

“I’m Gilbert, I’m from Eastern Germany, and I have a brother who was born in Western Germany. We’ve lived in the states since I was nine, my brother eight.”
