Can I call it a date?

Golden rays of sun fell in through thin white curtains onto a small figure, immersed in a thick and slightly ripped book. The figure, which belonged to a certain ravenette boy, sat on his bed near a window, his gaze sometimes shifting to shimmering trees and bright sky outside.

It was a truly peaceful morning.

Or so he thought..

In less than a minute of him thinking exactly that, another boy barged into the room, completely destroying the reader's peace.

"Hao Hao Hao Hao Haー"

"What?!"

"Hao Haoー Oh, you answered."

Minghao rolled his eyes and let out a small giggle.

"Yes, idiot. What now?"

Jun pouted jokingly and crossed his arms.

"You can't talk to me like that, I'm your hyung!"

"Your mental age is non-existent," the younger snapped without a blink.

"But you endure it anyways," Jun teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

Minghao immediately blushed and threw a pillow to the older.

"Will you finally tell me what's so important that I have to stop reading?"

"Oh that.. Nothing, just wanted to go out," Jun shrugged, innocently blinking his eyes.

The biggest problem of Minghao was that no matter how much the other got on his nerves, the younger would do anything if Jun just breathed a word..

"Where to?"

"So.. there's this new cat cafe and I really wanted toー"

"Say no more," the younger got up with a dramatic sigh and carefully put the book aside, meanwhile Jun was flashing the widest smile.

In just a couple minutes the two went out the door. The weather was nicely warm and sunny - just a perfect day to be outside.

"Did you hear about ChanCheol happening?" Half-whispered Jun as he leaned towards the younger.

"What? When?!"

"Yesterday. Apparently it was all Jeonghan hyung's plan," Jun giggled, awakening a swarm of butterflies inside Minghao's belly.

"They make a cute couple.." The younger murmured.

"Hmm.. You think?"

Minghao nodded looking straight into the other's eyes and getting temporarily lost in their glistening orbs.

"Maybe, I don't know. I've never seen a cute enough couple to ship.."

"Wh-What about you and your girlfriend?" Minghao asked carefully.

All of a sudden, Jun's smile started fading.

"Oh we.. We're not meant for each other," he simply said.

"You b-broke up?"

Surprisingly, Jun shook his head and chuckled.

"Nope. I just see it. But so far we're happy together."

"I.. don't get it."

"Me neither."

The rest of their walk to the cafe was silent and a bit awkward. Minghao couldn't help but rethink the older's previous words. Also, the fact that their hands were so extremely close to each other only increased Minghao's wish to lock them together.
