While carrying Sadie on her back, (Y/n) does a little dance to amuse Sadie. Sadie giggles and holds on, "Auntie (Y/n)! I'm gonna get dizzy!"
(Y/n) laughs and carries Sadie to the backyard of her and Mellie's house. She gently puts Sadie down, ruffles her hair, "Go play baby girl." Sadie nods and joins the other kids.
(Y/n)'s been close with the Logans' since she was about Sadie's age. Her family moved to Boone County when she was young and she met Mellie, they were instantly best friends. When she met her older brothers, Jimmy treated her like he treats Mellie, and Clyde, well, Clyde thought she was prettier than anything he'd ever seen before, he still does. (Y/n) has loved Clyde since they met, and she's always there to defend him or help him feel better.
When Clyde lost his hand, (Y/n) was the first one at the ER to console him. She never thought any different about him, he was still her best friend, still the same person he's always been. She knew that he was still there despite the new, harder wall he had up. (Y/n) spent months breaking his new wall, he cried when it fell, and she just held him.
Clyde walks out of his house, carrying Sadie's birthday cake, he sees (Y/n) and smiles. He walks over to the food table and puts the cake down, then makes his way out of the pool of children that appeared as soon as they saw the cake.
(Y/n) smiles, "Hey! You made it out alive!"
Clyde chuckles, "I think before too long, someone will have to cut the cake."
(Y/n) nods, "I'll go get Jimmy." She walks inside and sees Jimmy and one of his friends talking, "Jimmy, the kids are gonna go crazy if the cake isn't cut soon, so it's you're time to shine."
Jimmy nods, walks outside with her and (Y/n), "If they eat me alive, I blame you."
(Y/n) laughs and puts her hands up, "Nope, not my fault." She walks over to Clyde, gently bumps her hip against his thigh, "What's up?"
Clyde cracks a rare smile, which are normally reserved for her and his family, "Nothin', just standin' here, with you." He tried to flirt sometimes, but he doesn't think it ever really comes across that way. He's never had much luck with ladies. The one time he got lucky was the night before his first deployment, and even that wasn't ideal for him.
(Y/n) smiles and looks up at Clyde, "Want a beer?" Clyde nods, and watches as (Y/n) grabs him one, while getting herself a premixed drink. He knows she doesn't like beer, he remembers when she nearly threw up when he offered her a sip of beer when they were 11.
(Y/n) opens both bottles and hands Clyde his beer, Clyde takes it, "Thank you, bug." He likes to call her bug because she's much shorter than him.
(Y/n) smiles, "You're welcome."
After the cake was served to the kids, Clyde comes out of the house with a huge piñata, it was a unicorn. (Y/n) and Mellie had spent most of last night filling it with candy and little toys. Sadie sees it and gasps, "Oh my gosh! Thank you Uncle Clyde."
Clyde chuckles, "No problem sweet pea, you can thank your aunts for the stuff inside."
Sadie runs over to Mellie and (Y/n), hugs them both, "Thank you!"
Mellie smiles and rubs her back, "You're welcome baby doll."
(Y/n) kisses Sadie's cheek, "Of course sweetie, now go break it open!" Sadie nods and runs back to the piñata, lets Clyde put the blindfold on her, and takes the stick he gives her.
Clyde moves out of the way, "Okay Sadie, swing!"
Sadie swings and hits the edge of it, then swings again and gets a solid hit in. After she cracks it open, she and all her little friends dive to grab the candy and toys.

After the party died down and everyone went home, (Y/n) watched Sadie play with her new presents, gently braided Sadie's light blonde hair.
Sadie looks back at (Y/n), "Auntie, why isn't your last name Logan like me, Daddy, Uncle Clyde, and Aunt Mellie?"
(Y/n) smiles, "Because I'm not related by blood, baby girl. But the four of us, we've been close since we were younger than you."
Sadie giggles, looks at her auntie like she's silly, "I know that! I mean Uncle Clyde, he likes you! He could make you a Logan!"
As she puts her hair up in a ponytail, (Y/n) blushes, "Oh baby girl, I don't know about that, I've know your Uncle Clyde a long time, he hasn't said anythin' of the sort."
Sadie turns around so she's fully facing (Y/n), "I see the way he looks at you, Auntie."
"It's really sweet of you to look out for me, but we'll just have to wait and see," (Y/n) smiles and looks at the clock, "And for right now, a certain little birthday girl needs to get her butt in bed."
Sadie pouts but gets up, (Y/n) gets up and picks Sadie up, takes her to the guest room. She lays Sadie down and tucks her in like a burrito, then kisses her forehead, "Sweet dreams, baby girl. I love you so much, happy birthday."
Sadie cuddles her covers, getting relaxed, kisses (Y/n)'s cheek, "I love you too Auntie." (Y/n) walks to the door, leaves it open a crack, so she can have some light.
Clyde walks over to (Y/n), gently hugs her, "I should get goin', gotta be at the bar."
(Y/n) wraps her arms around his waist, hugging back, "Okay, let me know if you need any help over there." Clyde nods and kisses her head, like he has since they were kids, then walks out to his car. (Y/n) watches him drive away, then walks to Mellie's room, "Hey, what's up?"
Mellie looks up from her phone and smiles, "Not much, you? Oh, is Clyde still here?"
(Y/n) sits on Mellie's bed, "He had to go to work, and I put Sadie to bed. She's certain that Clyde likes me."
Mellie laughs, "Of course he does! I've told you that since we were kids, he loves you!"
(Y/n) shakes her head, lays back, "I'll believe it when and if he tells me."
