The morning after Sadie's birthday party, Clyde wakes up and smells bacon cooking. He wills himself to get out of bed, walking into the living room he sees Jimmy cooking bacon, burnt, just the way Clyde likes it. His eyes move to the refrigerator, he sees a list, and he feels like something is wrong, between the cauliflower Jimmy called last night at the bar, after the fight with the British ass hole and his goonies. He sits at the table and Jimmy serves up breakfast.
Clyde can barely touch his food, as he and Jimmy talk. He doesn't want to get involved with the law again, but he thinks that maybe if he has a better financial situation, then he'll be a little more deserving of a woman like (Y/n), or better yet, actually get her. He sighs, "I'll help you."

Later in the day, after seeing Joe Bang, laying out all the plans, he walks into Duck Tape, knowing (Y/n) offered to help him out tonight. He sees her bartending and he can't help but crack a smile.
(Y/n) sees Clyde and smiles, then serves the guy who was waiting his drink. Clyde walks behind the bar and smiles, "Thanks for helpin' out." He wiped down the counter and does some refills for some patrons.
(Y/n) looks up at Clyde, gently touches his left arm, "It's no problem, I'm always here when you need me." She knows he doesn't always like when people acknowledge his prosthetic, but she's always gentle about it.
Clyde looks down at her gratefully, nods stoicly. He was nervous, he didn't want her to know about his plan with Jimmy, he knows she'd try to talk him out of it. He wants to have a better future and he doesn't see that happening if he doesn't take this chance his brother gave him.
Clyde sees Jimmy and Mellie walk in, he smiles at them, "Hey, what can I get ya?"
Jimmy looks at his younger brother, "A beer, thanks."
Mellie smiles, "Martini, please." She and Jimmy had just talked about the plan, and she was more than ready to help her family. She looks at Clyde and whispers, "Clyde, have you told her about the plan?"
Clyde sighs and whispers back, "No, and I'm not gonna, I don't want her liable for any of this." He goes back to making their drinks.
Mellie catches (Y/n)'s attention, "Hey, you should find an excuse to stay over at Clyde's tonight, get the ball rolling."
(Y/n) blushes, "Maybe, we'll see." She moves around to help a customer, puts her hand on Clyde's back to let him know she's there behind him.

Once the traffic in the bar dies down, (Y/n) and Clyde start cleaning up and putting things away. Even though Clyde's happy to have her here, he can't help but think about how this will probably be his last night of freedom for a while. He turns off the lights, walks outside with (Y/n), looks at her, "Drive home safe."
(Y/n) feels like something is off with him, but she doesn't push it right now. She smiles softly, "I was hopin' we could maybe hang out at your house for a little while."
Clyde nods and smiles, deciding he wants to enjoy tonight. He walks with her to his car, holds the door open for her. After they both are in, he drives to his trailer. (Y/n) leans her head on his shoulder, watching the night sky as he drives.
Stepping into Clyde's trailer, (Y/n) slips off her shoes, and walks around. She loves how cozy his home feels. She looks at the books that Clyde loves so much.
Clyde walks over to (Y/n) and picks her up from behind, making her giggle and laugh, "Clyde!" She holds onto his arm, wiggling, "Down!" She blushes and looks up at him when he puts her back on her feet. (Y/n) smiles, "What was that for?"
Clyde smiles, "It's just been a while since we played like that, I think the last time was..." His face falls a little, thinking about it.
(Y/n) knows that the last time he picked her up was before he left for his second tour in the army, before he lost his hand. She holds his left hand, "Hey, you know that you're still you, right? You're still the amazin' Clyde Logan who took me to prom and danced with me all night, who taught me how to drive when my daddy was busy." She kisses his cheek, "C'mon, it's been a long day, let's go to bed." She gently holds his right hand and leads him to his bedroom.
Clyde lets his imagination run a little bit, imagining how happy he'd be to have her here every night, be able to hold her and love her. But then he remembers that he has to help his brother. He takes his prosthetic off, and goes to the bathroom to change into pajamas, and so (Y/n) can get into comfortable clothes.
(Y/n) changes into one of Clyde's shirts, and takes off her shorts. She gets in his bed, cuddles the covers. She sees Clyde come back in and she smiles, "Hey, come're, I wanna cuddle."
Getting in bed next to her, Clyde smiles, "Can't argue with that." He gently pulls her close and closes his eyes, relaxing.
(Y/n) kisses Clyde's cheek softly, a little longer than is normal, then slowly pulls back, nuzzles her face into his neck, "Goodnight."
Clyde kisses her head and smiles, "G'night beautiful."
