*Six Months Later*
Clyde got the call from Jimmy, that they could get the money now, and as confused and upset as he was, thinking maybe this is a prank, he goes to his older brother. Low and behold, Jimmy was telling the truth, Clyde had more than enough money to retire comfortably when he's ready, enough that (Y/n) wouldn't have to work another day in her life as well.
Clyde had never felt so much pride before, knowing he can take care of himself and the people he loves, in the way they deserve.

Later that night, Clyde works the bar, he was outwardly happy for a change. (Y/n) and Mellie chatted about work while sipping drinks.
A tall, slim lady walks into the bar, not drawing a lot of attention to herself. She takes a seat opposite (Y/n) and Mellie. She sees Clyde and asks him for a drink, he obliges, of course.
Special Agent Sarah Grayson, she couldn't give up her hunch about the Logans, she was going to prove they stole the money. Her way in was the sweet, stoic bartender, Clyde Logan.
(Y/n) notices the woman, and she instantly had a bad feeling in her stomach, something was wrong, and she knew it had to do with that woman.

Sarah flirts hard with Clyde over the next few weeks, gaining his favor. Clyde notices, and decides to take a chance, he's not getting anywhere pinning after (Y/n). He'll always love her, more than anyone, but he has needs.
On Halloween, Clyde takes Sarah on a date, nothing fancy, but he thinks he might have impressed her. Pumpkin patch, hay ride, a night under the stars. Nothing physical happened, but Sarah wasn't interested in getting close to him in that way, she didn't find him attractive in the slightest.
(Y/n) wasn't shy about voicing her opinion on Sarah, she told Clyde what she thought; that he'd get burned, badly. Clyde didn't want to hear it, he couldn't hear it. He couldn't listen to the woman of his dreams try to ruin his reality.

Later that night, Clyde arrived home, the house was dark. He flips on the living room light and sees (Y/n) asleep on the couch. As he goes to pick her up and take her to her room, she wakes up, moves away from him, "Don't touch me."
Clyde was taken aback, she had never recoiled at his touch, it broke his fucking heart. He tries to muster his courage, "Come on, let's get you in bed."
(Y/n) was angry, she stands up and looks him square in the eyes, "I can get myself to bed, I was up all fuckin' night, waitin' for you to come home!"
Clyde huffs, he wasn't in the mood to fight, "I was on a date."
(Y/n) laughs, "She's usin' you! I don't know why, but she is! I can feel it! I felt it the moment she walked into Duck Tape!"
Clyde looks at her, "She likes me! She's the first woman in close to a decade that's even looked my way! Is it so hard to believe that someone fuckin' likes me?!?" He was getting angry, but he couldn't help it, she knew what buttons to push.
(Y/n) walks to her room, looks back at Clyde, "Whatever, Clyde, I give up. Fuck her, marry her, I don't care, but when she burns you, don't cry to me." She closes her bedroom door, leaning her back against it. She lets out a silent sob, sliding down the door, she crumples. She'll always care about and love Clyde, but she can't be a bystander while he makes a huge mistake.
Clyde storms off to his bedroom, slamming the door, which makes (Y/n) jump and cry even more. He tries his hardest not to cry, but he ends up crying himself to sleep.

The next morning, Clyde wakes up feeling like shit. He pulls himself out of bed, gently opens (Y/n)'s door, to see her sleeping on her bedroom floor, her cheeks stained with tears. His heart shattered right there, he caused those tears, he's the reason she fell asleep on the floor. He gently picks her up and lays her in her bed, kisses her forehead. Reluctantly, he leaves her room, closes the door behind him.

(Y/n) decides that she's going to prove to Clyde that she's right, she spends days doing tons of research, to prove that Sarah isn't just some lady who decided to come into town.
After weeks of emails and calls, she got a hold of someone from the FBI, who disclosed that one of their agents had gone rogue, trying to frame two brothers for the Hillbilly Heros heist. Finally she had proof, enough to run Sarah out of Boone County.
