Later in the afternoon I went and found Marcurio, it seems he was collecting some supplies in the market. I think if he is going to keep following me into such dangerous places, like a vampire's lair, he is going to need some better armor.
"Marcurio," I greet him with a nod.
"Need something Valerica?"
"You actually, I think it's time you got some better armor."
"I'm not a fighter Val, why would I need armor?" He shakes his head. "I'll do fine without."
"Alright, but when those vampires turn on us you'll be sorry." I shrug.
"Ah, right." He thought for a moment. "It's not like armor would have any negatives, I may as well."
"Alright then coward," I pat him on the shoulder and gesture to the Inn. "Tell Serana to meet us at the gate at sunset, we're taking here home."
"And where should I meet you?"
"In front of the Warmaiden," I point in the direction of the shop. "But you can wander around till I come get you."
He nodded and went into the Bannered Mare as I went to the Warmaiden. I see Adrianne outside tanning some leather. I take out my crossbow to show her.
"Adrianne, look!" I smile. "It's a great weapon just like you said."
"My, would you look at this. " She nodded as she admired the crossbow. "It is well made, not too heavy."
"Yeah, but I'm almost out of bolts already. I'll have to pick some up soon," I put my crossbow away. "I came here to make some armor for my partner, mind if I use the forge?"
"Not at all," she nodded. "Have at it."
After a while I finished the armor and went to find Marcurio. He was back in Jorrvaskr talking to Kodlak and Vilkas again, but when he saw me he came over.
"Are we heading out?" He asked.
"Not yet," I hand him the armor. "I made this for you, go change and meet me back here."
"You made it? I didn't know you could smith."
"I'm still learning, but I kind of like it." I shrugged.
"Well I found this Amulet of Julianos while I was in Belethors shop, so I guess I can do without these robes. Thanks for the armor."
With that he headed off to get changed and in the meantime I went and sat next to Kodlak and Vilkas.
"I am about to walk right into a vampire's lair. A very powerful group of vampires to be exact."
"This really doesn't sound like a good idea Val," Vilkas shook his head. "Maybe I should come with you."
"I'll be fine, besides Marcurio is coming with me."
"Don't worry Valerica, you are more powerful than any of those night stalkers. You are a Companion, and as much as I dislike it, you have the beast blood within you." Kodlak says in reassurance.
"I know it will be alright," I sigh. "As long as I don't say anything that gets me killed."
"Will they know what she is, Kodlak?" Vilkas looked towards him.
"Oh I'm sure they will smell the wolf on her," he nodded. "Just as we could smell the death on them."
"Will they attack her?" He asked with concern.
"I don't know, I'm sure Serana has something planned."
"What about Marcurio?" I asked. "Do you think he'll find out about me? Should I just go with Serana alone?"
