Darius felt like a knot was in his throat as he continued to follow the sound of the creature's ravenous screams. The closer he got, the more his heart raced as he subtly and cautiously made his steps in that direction. The screams seemed to be more broken as if it's vocals was being interrupted by something.

Darius inched his way closer and now could hear a constant shuffling and crunching of the dried leaves that gave life to the intense struggle that filled the background. He discreetly made his way to the cover of a large maple tree and gradually peeked out from behind it.

Darius was completely shocked and astonished at what his eyes were seeing. The creature was attempting to scream but couldn't as it was compelled to its knees. He watched as the creature reached, clawed, and struggled but Sedya's arm was tightly locked around its neck.

The wilder the creature moved in its attempt to break free, the more the muscles in her arms grew and flexed as she tightened her grip.

Sedya had become something Darius had never seen before. Only the iris of her eyes was completely blue while the rest was pitch black as if they were floating in her eye sockets. The creature continued to squirm as it dug its razor-sharp nails into Sedya's neck and face; shredding her skin wide open. From the large lacerations, there was no blood; only a bright blue light radiated from it for a few seconds, and then the wound instantly healed.

Filled with anxiety and confusion, Darius had masked himself back behind the tree and decided to carefully get away from there before anyone or anything saw him. Before he could make his reproach, he heard a voice that sounded really familiar and made the knot feeling in his throat come back. Darius felt compelled to look out again, hoping that it wasn't who he thought it was.

"Where's Darius?"

"He should be on his way back to the house. I told him to go home."

"How was he?"

" A couple of scrapes and bruises but he was fine. He was scared mostly because this thing decided that it was gonna try to kill him."

"Ok, well let's get rid of this soul sucker and so I can get back to the house. Aye Sedya, remember, not a word to Darius okay. I don't think he prepared to take on all of this; not now."

"Ok, whatever you say but I think its kinda wrong not to tell him at this point."

"Well, thanks for your input but I believe this the best for him. Now, can I tend to this Feeder already cause I'd like to start heading back. Hopefully I can get to the house before Darius does."

Yea, sure go ahead. Knock yourself out." Sedya replies

As Sedya held the creature around the neck, Syndie took a deep breath, let it out slowly, and then quickly latched onto the arms of the creature. A solid white substance flows the arms, shoulders, which seemed to come from the center of her back. She tilted her head to the sky and a large ball of light slowly crept up from her chest and into her neck and once it reached the back of her throat, she tilted her head forward-facing the creature. She popped her jaw loose as she began to stretch her mouth open, almost a foot wide, allowing the light to fill the back of her throat. She then took in a deep breath through her nose, filled her lungs to capacity, and with one sweeping breath, released a high pitched, ear-piercing scream that unleashed the light she held within her. As the light flooded the creature, it was instantly set ablaze; rendering it merely red embers and ash.
Her jaw began shifting back to its normal state and the thick white substance in her veins, slowly started to dissipate. The black in Sedya eyes faded and her iris returned to their normal dark brown color.
Darius was baffled by the discovery of not only Sedya but also his Aunt Syndie. Fear and curiosity ran through him as he looked on; watching them change back to normal.
