Healed

Chapter 1

The sun was coming up, my sister and I watch it come up from the balcony every morning and sing our song. My name is Jailyn I'm 22 years old, I'm no ordinary girl, I'm different and I'm kinda proud of it. My hair has the same color as gold and it is very long and my sister is just the same except she's 7 years old, we have healing powers. It has been in our family for generations, we can bring people back to life or heal any illness. Our mother has healing powers as well, but after she gave birth to my sister she was taken away by the king. The king is a ruthless man, he's been using my mother to heal himself for 7 years now. My father on the other hand got so sad about my mother, when she was taken away. He was always angry and was beginning to become dangerous to be around. So he went to the mountains to balance his inner chi. I'm raising my sister Zulyn. She's still learning how to use her powers, sometimes she can't contain her powers so she heals everything she comes in contact with, but that's just a side effect, which can be contained, I also had that problem when I was young. Today is our mother's birthday and we are going to have a little celebration with some cake, and we are going to the mountains to visit our father. We are only allowed to visit him on birthdays, I don't really know why but it's better then never seeing him. Zulyn and I started baking the cake

“Jailyn I want to bake a huge cake for mommy!”

“how about we make the biggest cake in the world for mother?”

“CAN WE DO THAT!!” she shouted with excitement

“of course we can do that we are the masters of baking right”

“right!!” Zulyn replied happily.

We made a really big cake, bigger then I'd expected.

“Zulyn I'm sorry, but we can't carry all the cake to father”

“why not ?”

“it's way to heavy to carry”

“then what do we do Jailyn?”she started to tear up while talking,

“how about we cut the cake in half and bring that to father”

“YEAH let's do that” she started jumping around.

BANG!! 

“Jaylin what was that” she stopped jumping and turned to me scared,

“Zulyn listen to me closely I want you to run into the woods and hide until I get you okay!”

“okay” 

she ran into the woods as fast as she could until she was out of sight. I went to check who had knocked down the door and it were some bandits. 

“Who are you?!” I said angrily, 

“we're here to take your sister” he said and took a knife from his pocket.

“I don't have a sister, you must be mistaken” 

“I'm not mistaken just give me your sister or you'll get hurt”

“I told you I don't have a sister” I said angrily,

then he put his knife against my throat. 

“Now tell me where your sister is”

“as I told you before I don't have a sister” 

when I said that he pressed the knife even harder against my throat. Then one of his men said 

“wait she also has healing powers right?”

”well...yes....but the younger one will last much longer”

“but isn't she better than nothing!?” the man said to his boss

“yeah, we'll just take her instead, and torture her until she tells us where the younger one is”

“NO you won't” 

I used my foot to kick him in the head and he fell to the ground,

“GET HER!” he shouted.

His men began to run towards me, then they all came at me trying to beat me up, one of them punched me in the face and I spit out some blood then I saw a vase full of marbles and threw it at the ground and the men all fell, I ran into the woods and found my sister. 

“Zulyn I want you to run as fast as you can to father and tell him that Jailyn is in danger”

“your in danger why?”

“I don't have time to explain just run okay!”

“but... What about you?”

“I'll be fine, Zulyn I love you so start running to father” 

I gave her a push and she started running with tears in her eyes.

“There you are you brat!”

I turned around and the men started coming at me one by one, they were to many.

“ARGH!!!” 

I screamed from the top of my lungs,one of the men stabbed me in the leg, I fell to the ground. When I tried to stand up one of the men knocked me out
