We ran to the stables and got on our horses, my mother was still unconscious. We rode out of the capital and made camp near a waterfall.....just in case if the guards are following us, then we won't lead them straight to the mansion.
“Jailyn is your mother okay?”
“she'll be fine!” I said to him with a weak smile, watching my mom sleeping.
Then I felt a warm embrace, Leonardo held my probably with all of his strength.
“Leonardo?” I looked at him with teary eyes, he turned me around to face me, then he pressed my head to his chest,
“you don't have to hold your tears any longer back”
“h...how did...you know...that I was holding back..”
“Because I knew you you were holding back the moment you saw your mother......if you don't want me to see your crying face, then you can hide it in my chest”
for some reason I wasn't able to hold back any longer and began crying.
“I look like a weakling crying” I said wiping my tears away
“you know a very wise man said one's, people who cry are not weak, they've just been strong for to long...and in your case you've been strong for 7 years” he said smiling wiping my last tear away with a kiss.
We fell asleep in each others warmth, when we woke up in the morning my mother was still sleeping
“how long will she sleep Jailyn?”
“I'm not sure maybe a week”
“A WEEK!!” he said very surprised
“it could even be longer......we have to get her to the monastery!”
“why?”
“because Brenda and Kwanita can tell how long she'll be sleeping”
“who are they?!”
“I'll tell you about them on the way” I picked my mother up and began walking. I struggled trying to carry her, I'm not really used to holding someone heavier then Zulyn, and Leonardo noticed my struggle
“Jailyn I'll carry her”
“no no, it's okay!” I smiled at him, then he took my mother and carried her on her back,
“you need your strength!”
“well you need your strength to, you know!”
“Jailyn here's the thing... I've got more strength then you” he said smiling teasingly at me and I replied with a glare.
“So who are these girls you were talking about”
“Brenda and Kwanita...oh, they live in the monastery with they're mother, they're actually twins but they don't have the same father”
“is that even possible?”
“apparently, yes it's quite possible. Brenda she's a bookworm she's always reading a book when you see her and her father is Scottish”
“Scottish?”
“yeah her dad is somewhere from Europe, but Kwanita is another story.... she is like a being made of energy, she's always in a good mood and really hyper, her father is native american.”
“I see.. do they look alike?”
“haha..nooo there nothing alike, Brenda has like a strawberry blonde hair, light blue eyes, freckles and very white skin, Kwanita on the other hand has brown hair, very moss green eyes and tanned skin...so they're nothing alike!”
“ah, okay.”
We arrived at the monastery, as always Xeng came greeting us but when he saw my mother it was like he was set in a trance and just stood there dumbfounded.
“Xeng can you get Brenda and Kwanita for me!?”
“um..y...yes I'll get them right away!!” he said and walked away in a hurry. We got inside the monastery and set my mother down on a futon.
“JAILYN!!EEK” someone screamed and when I turned around Kwanita came running and lifted me up while hugging me...I really don't get it where she gets all that energy,
“your in a good mood as always” I said while she was hugging me,
“Kwanita put her down your gonna make her pop if you keep hugging her so tight!” Brenda said calmly, somehow in a happy voice. Kwanita set me down and I walked towards Brenda and greeted her,
“good to see you again Brenda”
“it's good to see you to” she smiled then she stared blankly at my mother
“i..is that your mother?”
“yes that's my mother... I was wondering if you two could tell me how long she will be sleeping?”
the sisters looked at each other then approached my mother, Brenda took her pulse and Kwanita listened to her breathing, they did that for about 2 minutes then turned to me with serious expressions.
“umm...she...she's gonna be sleeping for about a month” Brenda said sadly,
“A MONTH!!”
“yes... We will take care of her while she sleeps” Kwanita said with a weak smile
“no, no I'll be taking care of her!!”
“you can't take care of you're mother and sister, Jailyn!” Brenda said sternly
“...fine...”
“don't worry yourself to death tho” Kwanita said with a grin
“but come visit us” Brenda said with a kind smile
“you to come visit us” I said smiling, then they both noticed Leonardo and looked at me smiling with probably all of they're might
“so who's your boyfriend!” Kwanita said in excitement
“m-my boy--”
“I'm Leo it's a pleasure to meet you both” Leonardo said cutting me off
“why don't you both stay for tea??” Brenda said with a bewitching look
“no we have to get going...Zulyn is waiting for us” I said and grabbed Leonardo's hand and led him out of the monastery
“see ya later lovebirds!” Kwanita shouted after us and all the monks looked at me in surprise...o god this is so embarrassing, I tried to walk faster but Leonardo was clearly amused by this.
“Leonardo please walk faster”
“why?”
“because!”
“because what?”
“because I really want to see Zulyn”
“oh my we better hurry then” he said grabbing me and threw me over his shoulders
“wha? What are you doing Leonardo people are watching!!”
“pfft! I don't care you really need to see your sister apparently so we better hurry!!” then he began running with me on his shoulders
“we'll be faster if I run by myself!! so please put me down!”
“no can do princess, I'm the faster runner here, so if I carry you we'll simply be faster”
“ugh!!” I gave up and just went quite. He ran with me all the way to the mansion without breaking a sweat.
