"Evs, come on. Get up!" A voice calls through the door. And a groan can be heard from the bed as the covers move and Evie rises in her bed. Her hair was a mess, and as she looked at her alarm she realised she hadn't even set her alarm. She was late.

"Shit!" She exclaimed as she frantically stumbles out of bed and towards the door, opening it up to the small boy with white and back hair with an annoyed expression.

"Come on, we can't be late for our first day!" He sighs as he notices she was still in her pj's.

"Give me ten minutes" She says before slamming the door, running over to her closet and pulling out the outfit she had decided on the night before. Thank God for forward planning! As she grabs her toiletries and storms out, but she is met with the floor almost instantly.

"Dude!" She yells as she glares at the dog who was stood in front of thr door, looking at her as he tilts his head slightly. She rolls her eyes and reaches over, scratching the back of his ear. "You're lucky you're cute" Evie comments before pushing herself back up and nearly sprinting into the bathroom.

Fifteen minutes later, Evie barges out of her front door, bag in one hand and car keys in another.

"What the hell! We are going to be late! It's out first day" Carlos yells throwing his hands in the air.

"Stop bitching and get in the Car" Evie rolls her eyes, unlocking the door and chucking her bag in back and sliding into the drivers seat. Adjusting her jacket before turning the ignition on.

"Eve's, put your foot down!" Carlos pleads.

"It's a Fiesta, Carlos. It isn't exactly built for speed" She argues as she reverses off the drive and heads off down the street. Evie glanced in the mirror and sighs. She was glad she was able to sort her hair out. Able to tie it in a bun to hide how much of a mess it was.

"So, what do you think this school will be like?" Carlos asks, his panic about being late seemingly gone.

"Hopefully easy. I just want to get my head down and get the grades." She shrugs as she takes a turn.

"You don't need grades for Fashion?" He states with a questioning tone.

"Yes, I know. But always good to have a back up, Carlos. And good grades open it up for me." Evie explains and Carlos nods slowly.

"Maybe I should do the same... But then again we need someone in our family actually making friends" He smirks, receiving a quick slap off his sister.

"I can make friends!" She exclaims.

"Yeah? Name one. Apart from me, I'm family" He states.

"Technically your adopted, not family" She says, but her tone made it obvious it was a joke.

"Oh with kicking your own brother out of the family, you have one friend. You've really proved me wrong" He laughs, receiving an eye roll as she pulls into the school. The two sigh with relief as they see Students still filing into school. They weren't late.

"That was lucky" Carlos breathes as he steps out of the car, pulling on his leather jacket. It was something Evie had made him for his 15th birthday. It was unique to him, and he wore it almost all the time.

"You got the timetable that was emailed to us, right?" Evie asks and Carlos nods, reaching into his bag and pulling out a piece of paper and waving it.

"See ya, sis" He shouts as she jogs into school. Evie reaches into her car and grabs her bags before locking it and heading inside herself. As she rummage through her bag, she quickly realises in the rush earlier, she ahd forgotten to pick up her timetable.
