As Class ends, everyone fights to escape the room. But Evie stood back from the crowd, noticing that Mal had gone over to Miss Regant. Who smiled as she approached.

"Mal! Did you read the book I recommended?" She asks and Mal nods, pulling out a book from her bag. The Mortal Instruments.

"Yeah, it's really interesting. A fun take on the Angel and Demon idea" Mal smiles as she looks at the cover.

"Ah yes, well there are plenty more in the series. I can give you the list?" Miss Regant questions and Mal nods enthusiastically.

"Mortal Instruments. Good story." Evie interjects, hoping to make friends with Mal.

"You've read them?" Mal asks and Evie nods, and a large smile forms on Mals face. "This could make or break me liking you. Who do you ship?" She questions.

Sizzy, no doubt. Sadly shadowed by Clace and Malec, but still my favourite" Evie answers and Mal nods slowly.

"Not my ship, but an acceptable answer." She says.

"Don't you two have classes to get too?" Miss Regant questions, but a smile was on her face as she looked at the two. The two share a look before leaving the classroom and into the hall, with people threading through each other.

"I, um. What class you got next?" Mal asks carefully, Evie pulling out her timetable.

"I've got... Biology with Mr Wayne." She answers, and she could of sworn she saw Mals face fall slightly. But she quickly recovered and nods.

"I've got Maths with Mr. Poe, but I can show you where Bio is if you want?" Mal offers, receiving a smile and a nod from Evie.

"That would be great, thanks." She smiles and the two head through the school.

"So, like your books?" Evie asks, trying not to be pushed around from the crowd.

"Yeah, it's always nice to escape reality. Put myself in someone else's shoes and save the world, fall in love. All that." Mal answers.

"Nerd" Evie jokes, receiving a soft nudge from the purple haired girl.

"Hey, Evie" A familar voice calls, Evie looks ahead to see Ben smiling at her, which she returned. But as soon as he notices Mal the smile seemingly fades. "Oh... Hey Mal" He says, a lot less cheerful.

"Ben" She says sharply, as she looks down on the floor.

"How was English with my mom?" He asked.

"Good. I really like her." Evie smiles and Ben laughs.

"Every student does." He states.

"Even me" Mal adds, receiving a light smile from Ben. "Where are you next, Bio right?" He asks and Evie nods. "I can walk you there if you want, I'm there myself" He offers.

"You were going the opposite way" Evie points out.

"Yeah I was coming to check on you." Ben admits.

"It's all good, Mals already offered to walk me" Evie smiles. She knew it would be easier if she went with Ben, but she wanted to stay with Mal. Something about her made the blue haired girl want to spend time with her.

"Then we can walk together, if that's okay with you Mal?" He asks, and she nods without a word and the three head off.

"So, any books your thinking of reading after Mortal Instruments?" Evie asks Mal as she gets closer to her.

"Oh, I dunno. I don't know what's good." Mal shrugs.

"Well did you like Harry Potter?" Evie asks and Mal shrugs again.
