FEBRUARY

Chapter 2

"Clyde. Clyde, Clyde~ Clyde! " those words Samantha said got stuck on my mind and I don't know why but I can't stop thinking about it. It repeated many times in my head in different tones, that's why it bothers me cause it's so hilarious. I continue reminiscing on what happened earlier this morning in the car. That's a great thing that happened on my first day of school even though some students keep looking at me and then shout even though I don't know why, and then there's Samantha that called me "Clyde" instead of "Hyde". This school is weird but I think I'm gonna enjoy it here. This could be fun right?

As I continue to recall what happened earlier this morning in the car while listening to music, I got bored and then looked outside the window to entertain myself while listening to music cause that helps me to relax.

Then a girl caught my attention. It feels like I've seen her somewhere before but where and when. "Manong stop the car." I said to our driver, then the car stopped. "Manong please go on without me tell my mother that I have something to do, I will go home later thankyou," I said to our driver. "But your mother willl be angr--". The driver didn't even finish talking cause I suddenly got out of the car and closed it. As I ran towards the girl I saw, she then changed ways and I was unable to follow her anymore. "Damn it, I think she's that girl from 5 years ago." I said to myself with disappointment but I really think that she's that girl from 5 years ago, I'm sure of it I can feel the same presence of her and that girl from 5 years ago, that girl that I've been looking for and longing for up until now.

With disappointment, I went to our home by myself. As I opened the front door my mom was there. "Hi mom, I'm back " I said to her as I enter the house. "Gosh Hyde why are you so late and what did you do? the driver said you left him all alone in the car because you said you will be going somewhere, where did you go ?" my mother questioned me. "I just saw something and I checked it out." I said to her. "Ok but next time you should contact me first, come let's eat lunch." My mother said to me calmly and then went directly to our dining table. "Ok mom I will be right there, I'll just put my things in my room and change. You can start eating without me I will change first." I said to my mother as I went to the stairs and headed directly to my room to put my things and change.

After I changed my clothes I went to the dining table to eat with my mom. "So Hyde , how was your first day? Did you enjoy your first day? how was it?" my mother asked me. "It was kinda great, and it was weird, but fun." I said to my mother as I continue to eat. "weird? why?" she asked me again. "How should I describe this, uhm- it was kinda weird because when I entered the school grounds partially all of the students there was looking at me non stop it seems like I've done something bad for them to keep looking at me like that, and then when I arrived at our classroom with our adviser suddenly the class began shouting all over the place. I don't know why but it's kinda funny yet weird. I will get used to it soon right? and I think I will enjoy staying there." I explained to my mother, then she suddenly laughs while eating, that's why I ask her if there is something wrong? "Mom is there something wrong with what I've just said?" I asked mom out of curiosity. "It's just that I think they find you good looking that's why they act like that. " mom said and then start laughing again. Me good looking? oh please, that's not true. "Ok Hyde after you finish eating your food, you wanna join me for grocery?" Mom asked me. "Yeah sure why not right? I got nothing to do because we're just half day today. Ok mom after I finish eating I will just take a shower and change again." I said to my mother.After eating I took a shower on my room's bathroom. "It's just grocery right? so i will just wear ordinary clothes." I said to myself. Then I picked the clothes I'm wearing for grocery shopping. 

After I decided on what to wear I got down from the stairs and went to the car where I saw my mother sitting and waiting for me. Then the driver started to drive when I took a seat beside my mother in the car.

Time flies so fast because we already arrived at the mall where we are going to have grocery shopping. I'm just wearing a plain white shirt with black japanese characters imprinted on the back, a black belt bag, paired with black shorts and black sandals. "Hyde can you get that cart over there?" Mom said. "Ok be there in a sec." I replied back to her as I took the cart and on my way back there was these two girls whom I don't know approached me. "Uhm- c-can we ask you for a f-favor?" the girl with the long wavy hair said to me. I think I should entertain them because I think that's the polite thing to do right? "Yes, what is it?" I asked them. "Uhm- can we take a p-photo together?" the girl with a short hair said to me. "O-ok sure why not?" I replied to them and took a photo of us three in one frame. "Thank you~" they said to me at the same time. "Ok, you're welcome." I said to them and went back.

After a few hours, we are done with the grocery shopping. While waiting in line mom ordered me to get a pack of napkin, soap, and shampoo. Ghad this is so humiliating and on my way back a group of girls approached me and they are asking for a photo,again. I don't know what to do, should I refuse or should I let them take a photo with me. And when I'm about to say the decision I've made, I heard a voice that sounds familiar. "Babe~, where are you?" that familiar voice said as I think it is approaching to where I'am. This can't be happening, no, don't tell me she is... I can't believe it's really her, It's Samantha. "Oh there you are babe, shall we go?" Samantha said then she suddenly hugged me, which made me shocked of what she just did. "Oh wait babe, do you know them? Oh I see you brought the napkin I've told you to buy, thankyou babe~" Samantha said to me then smiled. Then I saw those girls are starting to left. "I thought he was single" one of the girls said as they leave. "Yeah, he's so handsome what a shame he already has a girlfriend." another girl said. Thanks to Samantha those girls left because I don't know what to do in that kind of situation again. Wait- what ? they thought we are a couple. They think this girl beside me, this girl Samantha is my girlfriend!?
