THE AMERICAN DREAM

This is a story that I expect with be one giant "slice of life" fic. It will follow the events before, during and after the events of the First Avenger. Bucky and Steve will survive the war and live a cute little life with plenty of adventure.

↳ Will be structured similarly the way the series, A Song of Ice and Fire is structured. Each character will be told from the 3rd person point of view of a different character.

↳ The chapter characters will in include Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Vivian Carlisle, Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, Maria Collins and occasionally Edwin Jarvis or Rebecca Barnes.

↳ The violence won't be so bad. Maybe like PG-13. The Winter Soldier parts may be pretty graphic.

↳ There will be affairs during the Howard and Maria chapters if that triggers. I don't plan to write smut, not because I can't, but because I don't know if I feel comfortable doing it. If it's necessary, then a fragile maybe. Even then, it will not be graphic.

↳ There will definitely be talks of suicide, self harm, torture, nightmares, PTSD, desperation, and anxiety from the post-Winter Soldier chapters if those are triggers. It's likely that it won't be around until on into Book Three, so you'll be safe for quite a while.

↳ There will be major character deaths, so you have that to look out for.

↳ I hope to be focusing on someone from a few spectrums from back 1950's era. Peggy is a woman in a man's world. Bucky is an an everyday American with an everyday American family who faces crippling mind abuse. Steve is an American hero who stands in his own shadow and must keep the country satisfied. Howard is the worlds second billionaire. He is faces scandals and rumors along with his soon to be wife, Maria on the opposite coast. Only Maria must face the expectations people have for actresses and models. Bucky's sister, Rebecca marries a man of color and faces obstacles.
