I couldn't open my eyes. The throbbing in my head was so intense that all of my senses were dulled. I was only aware of the pain and how difficult it was for me to open my eyes. I couldn't even move my arms or legs. My wrists were burning, and something was tight against my chest making breathing difficult.
"You have his eyes you know?"
I ripped my eyelids open ignoring the protest from the rest of my body. I groaned in pain.
"Well you had his eyes," the voice said followed by cruel laughter.
Hearing someone talk in the past tense was never good.
"W-What?" I stammered out.
The voice went on, a familiar voice, but the image was blurry and my brain was moving too slow to put together the thoughts.
"He wants to meet you," she said.
"Who?" My eyes were starting to focus, and I knew now it was Raven. She was pacing back and forth across the cement floor of an abandoned warehouse.
"As soon as we get rid of your stalker," she laughed again.
"Stalker?" My mind flitted to the attacker with the reflecting eyes.
Another voice behind me startled me. It was gruff. "He'll be here soon."
The voice behind me started to move into my line of vision. It was my attacker, the guy from the dorm. His yellow reflecting eyes sparked terror in me. I screamed for help, and he laughed. Raven walked over and slapped me hard in the face.
"Let's not make this easy for him." Her black eyes looked like two endless pits.
Him who? My attacker was here. My mind shifted and I was able to think a little clearer, Chase? Of course, he would come find me.
"He'll sense me," I whispered.
"Oh we're counting on it." She smiled evilly. I noticed my surroundings for the first time. I was in the empty warehouse I had attended the party in. There was still trash covering the floor, broken bottles, plastic cups...
"What are you doing?" I asked. I was so confused. Raven. Chase had been right about her. I suddenly felt so stupid. Even worse, Chase was going to pay for it. I felt tears stinging my eyes. I fought them back; I was going to have to stay strong and fight through the fog of drugs if I was going to make it out of this. I had to make it out; I would not let them hurt Chase.
"Whose-" I started but had to clear my throat, "Whose eyes? Who were you talking about? What is going on?" I demanded.
"Oh, all in time sweet Morgan."
I tried again to sit up, and this time noticed the heavy chains that were restraining me. It definitely explained why I was having difficulty breathing, and my wrists were sore. I'm not sure if I would've been able to get out of the chains in a normal state. My wrists were pinned uncomfortably behind me so that I couldn't move them enough to use Power to help me. I started to feel the panic set in. but I closed my eyes and concentrated on calming myself.
"Oh I wouldn't fall asleep if I were you," Raven said in a sarcastically sweet voice. Something about the way she said it sounded like a threat.
"Why?" I asked even though I had no intention of falling asleep. "I'd rather sleep than sit here and wait for whatever you have in store for me."
"You don't get it do you?" she asked.
"What?" I asked impatiently.
"We're not like you." She walked by and ran her hand up my face.
