One day, I was hanging back from the others, I was planning on leaving soon I'd rather be on my own after I saw a few of them raid a camp on the way here, what they did to those people, it was awful.
Jesus Beth has really been on my mind, whilst I watched, from a distance, the drama unfold I was thinking of Beth and how I hoped everything was okay with her, that she was fortunate enough to be with people she deserves rather than an old redneck like me.
That evening after nightfall, Joe said he had spotted the fella that had done them wrong. As the Joe and his men advanced to the road where these people sat, I watched and waited but finally decided to make an appearance.
That is when I couldn't believe my eyes, so many thoughts pulsed around my brain in a second, the immediate thought was slight relief they were still here on the earth and hadn't become a flesh eating monster. My second thought was, "shit I need to help them out here, otherwise they are screwed". Another thought nagging at the back of my head was what I had said to Beth, "everyone we know is dead", how could I have been more wrong.

After we disposed of the claimers me and Rick just sat outside the truck on the road. Rick still covered in blood from biting into Joes neck, he asked "How did you wind up with them?"
This was what I was dreading saying what had happened. All I could say was "I was with Beth, we got out together, I was with her for a while"
That's when Rick had to ask the one question I tried to avoid appearing in my head all I could work myself to say was "she's just gone"
That's when I realised how much I missed her. I lent against the truck and thought and maybe even...prayed hoping someone would hear my pleads. All I wanted was my Beth back.
