THREE LAWS OF MOTION
Law of Inertia.

INERTIA
Lying in my bed,
staring up the ceiling.
I am lost in my thoughts,
drowning
in this painful feeling.
Already midnight yet wide awake,
I can't stop but thinking.
Guess, it's my fault
for letting you enter into my world,
for letting you break the wall
that I built to guard my heart.
That day,
there in the hallway,
we bumped into each other.
A cliché encounter!
I thought that it was the start
of a love meant to last
but sadly, it was not.
You shouldn't have look at me lovingly in the eyes
like I was the one you'd been trying to find.
You shouldn't have picked up my book
that fell in the ground
when you couldn't pick up the broken pieces of my heart.
If a day would come
that we see each other, again.
I'll pretend
that nothing happened.
You were the storm
that ruined my peaceful world
leaving me devastated.
Even if my heart's beating fast and loud
because I can't easily let go of the love I thought we had,
I'll ignore that sound.
And please, chose to walk past me.
I think it's better that way.
