The time was 7:30 p.m. and I was getting ready for Chadwick tonight at his house for dinner. I put on this dark purple dress and applied some nude lipstick on my lips and my curls were in a puff. I put on the same heels that I wore last night. As I was putting on perfume, Phoebe was laying on the bed, reading her book while popping her gum.

"Headed somewhere?" Phoebe asked as she turns another page.

"Yeah, Chadwick and I are going to have dinner together at his house tonight." I told her.

"Oh, really? What does he look like?" she asked as she put her book down.

"Girl, he is gorgeous. Here, I show you his picture." I said as I showed her a picture of him.

"Damn, you're right, he IS gorgeous. You better keep him, girl." she smiles as she pushes up her glasses.

"You know I will. Anyway, I'm going out. There's some food in the fridge. Call me when you need me." I said as I grabbed my purse and my duffle bag and headed out to the door.

"Alright, have fun." she smiled.

"I will." I winked at her as I opened the door and closed it behind me.

As I walked outside out of our apartment to hopped in my car to drove off to his house, I have such mixed emotions about having dinner with him and I hope I won't embarrass him or anything like that. As I pulled up to his house, I stepped out and walked up to the door to ring the doorbell and while I was glaring at my phone for the time which was exactly 8:00 p.m., the door was open and Chadwick was wearing his casual clothes and the cologne that he was wearing hits my nostrils and it smells so good. Not too strong. Not too musty.

"Good evening, Noelle." he said, smiling.

"Good evening, Chadwick." I said, smiles back.

"Well, don't you look stunning?" he asked as he was looking at me and licking his lips.

"Thank you, Chadwick." I smiled.

"Why won't you come in so we could eat?" he asked.

"Sounds good to me." I said.

I walked inside to take off my heels and headed to the kitchen to sit down at the table. I noticed that he had some candlelight on the table and there were some rose petals scattered all over as while jazz music was playing softly in the background. Chadwick brought a bowl of salad from his refrigerator, then he removed a pan full of freshly grilled salmon with parsley sprinkled on top from the oven, and finally, he grabbed two wine glasses and a bottle of champagne.

"Ooh, that looks delicious. Smells good too." I said.

"Thank you. Now, let us pray before we could eat." he said as he grabbed my hands.

"Okay." I said.

We started praying for a few seconds before we could let go of our hands and start consuming our meals. Once we were done praying, we began eating and I never realize how great the food was.

"How was it?" he asked.

"It's delicious. Didn't know you could cook like that." I smiled as I sipped my wine and eat my meal.

"I'm glad you liked it. I hope you have enough room for dessert because I made us some red velvet cake," he said as he took a container out of his fridge.

"Dessert, you say?" I asked him.

He nodded as he opened it to reveal the cake. My mouth began to water and he grabbed a small plate with a fork and knife and he cut me a slice and set it right in front of me.  He did the same thing to him and he sat back down, we began to feed each other some cake. We were having a great time together and I hope this would last forever.
