In one particular room in all of Seoul, South Korea, two hands on a clock were moving. Slowly. Very slowly. Finally, both hands landed on two separate numbers. First, the longer hand, it placed its self on a thick and bold number along with the others. Seven. The second shorter hand landed on the number zero. At that moment, one very brief moment, a phone goes off on a nightstand. Someone around their early to mid-twenties quickly gets up and silenced their phone from the loud alarm. "I'm the one I should love~." They groaned and checked the time with the screen as bright as the sun. "Seven o'clock." Getting up lazily and making their bed, they went off to do the regular routine. Get up, take a morning shower, brush their teeth, get dressed, and of course eat breakfast then leave for work.
By the time they left and got on their bike to leave, it was eight o'clock. Just right on time, they thought. Riding on their bike was one of the biggest joys of their life. The rough and uneven road pleased them every time they wanted to bike down to the park or even to work. Thankfully it had pros and no cons. Environment safe, cheap, no traffic, and so on. And if there's one more thing their was thankful for, it was that they worked at a company that wasn't too far from home. It only took around five minutes to get from point A to point B.
They made it to the company a few minutes early like most mornings, chaining their bike, and walking through the clean glass doors made them switch on their work persona. Every morning, they was greeted with the huge reception desk that read, "Lee Corporation". They didn't hate the job but wasn't a fan of working for a desk job. Of course, they did their job well and worked hourly for a good and stable amount of money. That's all they needed. After walking over to the elevator in the back of the office and pressing the button to rise up to the fifth floor, hastily walked to their desk and sat down quickly starting up the computer in front of them. Typing in the email and pass code, they heard another person walk into the office. You can hear heels clicking on the floor, an employee badge with a few keys on it jingle with every step and the scent of a citrus shampoo. Looking up to be met with a smile, the woman greeted you.
"Good morning Y/N. How are you?"
"Good Eunbyeol, what about you?" You noticed something different this time about her. Everything was the same except for something she was holding in her left hand. There was a small brown bag with the branding printed on it, "FIFTY FIFTY café. Since February 21st, 1991."
"Ah yeah. I'm doing fine and here I got you something this morning." Eunbyeol handed you the bag and you looked at her once again to see the anticipation on her face. Looking back down and smiling, you pulled out a drink and a small lemon cake you've always enjoyed at the café across the street.
"Thank you so much Eunbyeol, but why are you giving me this?"
"Well about that Y/N, for the past few weeks since the launching of the new program for students, you've been looking very exhausted and tired. So I decided to get you a coffee today to make you feel more energized and ready to work."
"Thanks for noticing Eunbyeol, I appreciate it very much."
"No problem Y/N." She skipped over to her neat desk and started to do her work. Being part of the planning and brainstorming team was some tough work. Eunbyeol was right. You were feeling quite tired since the launch of the new program and you did need the caffeine. Having a great imagination and putting it in something for a project was great. But the work was immense. New ideas from the CEO and others were piling up, and more scheduling tasks for the company was even more excessive. Your sleep schedule was incredibly screwed (Which includes going to sleep at 4:00 am and waking up at 7:00 am for some nights), and even eating can become a problem. Examples like skipping breakfast, lunch, or dinner and even living off of protein shakes for the whole day was something.
