Trigger warning: Mature Language

"Choi Tae-il a suspect of the Mission Connect case.". Tae-il was sitting down with cuffs on his hands behind his back. With all of his belongings in a separate container, he wore the uniform the NIS provided for him. Chains and strings were wrapped all around his body, they were all connected to a monitor with a program loaded on the screen. Lie detector. His suspect file was placed in front of him. "Agent Yoon and Han should interrogate since they know the most about CTI." Seri and Han nodded to Seokjin and entered the interrogation room. The room was blank with a one-way mirror, an old table, chairs, and the equipment inside. "I hope you know exactly what brought you here Mr. Choi." said Han flipping through the pages of his file. "His heart is speeding up Agent Yoon." Yoon looked up from the monitor sending a signal to Han.

Meanwhile on the other side of the one-way mirror, "Don't you think something is strange?" asked Oh clicking his pen out of habit. "The feeling in the room just doesn't feel right." Y/N stared at the mirror examining the room and Tae-il's face. "I think you're right Agent Kim. Something about the room isn't right." Tae-il looked up and down at Agent Han, "I think you must have mistaken me for someone else you little piece of shit." The whole room went silent, even behind the mirror everyone else was shocked by Tae-il's actions. No one in a million years would talk back to Agent Han. Out of everyone from her field, she was the most respected and had a high crime solve rate of 87.3 percent in total. The woman graduated college with a master's in psychology and law. Her GPA was 4.0 and went to Yonsei University which is one of the most prestigious schools out of the entirety of South Korea.

A loud slam was heard from the other side. Han was breathing heavily, fists on the table and knuckles white. Her jaw clenched and her aura gave off a very strong, confident, and intimidating feeling. It was almost as if Tae-il was faced against a Leopard in this room instead of Agent Han. "DON'T YOU EVEN!" Han grabbed him by the collar shaking him violently. He wasn't afraid at all. Tae-il didn't show any signs of fear or weakness. He was just unfazed and didn't care as if he had no worries at all. Han put him down in his seat and Agent Yoon gave Han a bottle of water, "Maybe this can help Agent Han.". She took it and drank it down fast. "I will now stop beating around the bush Tae-il. I will cut to the chase and you won't disrespect me the way you did just now.".

"Fine but I won't guarantee anything or any information from me."

"According to this file, it says that the forensics team has found your DNA at the scene of Hwang Si-Mok's murder. You killed him with a knife in his home and threw his body at the Daecheon beach? Is that correct?"

"No." Yoon looked at the monitor in front of her intensely. Han looked at her way, eyes pleading for an answer to Tae-il's statement. Truth. "It's true Agent Han." Han kicked the chair that she was sitting in and took a deep breath. What is this? His DNA is all over the weapon. How can it not be him? The room doesn't feel right. What's going on? "Let me go get Agent Han." Y/N ran towards the other room grabbing her colleague and pulling her out.

"Y/N, what do you think you're doing?"

"Saving your ass is what I am doing."

"What do you mean?" It took Y/N a good moment to think of the words she wanted to say to Han. Her breath was uneasy and she looked like a tomato with a very angry look on her face.

"Han, as much as Tae-il angered you this way, you can't let him get to you. We know now that he didn't murder Hwang Si-mok while he was in his residence. Having you get angry like that will make things turn around quickly. Let me interrogate him next, I think you might need to calm down first." Han's eyes softened along with her expression.

"Fine. I'm sorry for what I did. I didn't mean it, don't take it personally okay?" She reached out her hand asking for a handshake. Y/N looked at Han once again, she was calm. As if all of her worries disappeared into a light, thin, and speck of mist. Han went into the room with the other Agents and Y/N went in to as Tae-il a few more questions.

Y/N sat down in her seat and looked back at Seri. "Ok Agent Y/N you can start now." Seri sent a warm smile. The room was cold again and quiet. "According to some evidence, we found your DNA all over the murder weapon. Is there a certain reason to why this is?"

"I already said that I didn't do it."

"Don't be slick Tae-il, we found your DNA on the weapon. A knife perhaps?" Tae-il didn't say anything this time. So he's playing the silent game huh?

"Agent Yoon, we can stop investigating now, this is getting a bit out of hand." As much as I don't want to stop, this is unbelievable. Seri turned off the monitors and signaled to the security guards to give Tae-il his lunch. Both Agents left the room and went into the other room.

"What the hell was that?" Agent Oh looked stressed about the situation.

"Let's take a rest and head back to our desks. We can use a break after all the hell we went through." Agent Yoon lead the crew through the hallways back to their office.

The whole crew went back to their desks and started to look back at old unsolved cases. All of these cases were perfect. No witnesses, no DNA, no proof of anything. After about five hours, it was time to clock out. Everyone put on their jackets, grabbing their possessions, and headed straight back to their cars. Y/N wanted to take Seokjin back to the infirmary for his cut when they were chasing Tae-il.

"I'm sorry Y/N but I already got treated by the nurse. I'm completely fine."

"I just wanted to make sure but do you want to go out for some coffee?" He stared at you for a few seconds. Looked away and brought his eyes back to you.

"Is this a date?"

"No but I'm just being a little-" Seokjin cut you off-putting his hand over your mouth forcing you to be quiet.

"I mean I wouldn't blame you, who wouldn't want to go out with such a handsome man. More specifically, me. After all, I am worldwide handsome? My face is flawless and my skin is perfect. What more could you wa-" You swatted his hand off your mouth and did the same thing at him.

"Did I say this was a date? I was just wanting to be a little nice today. So do you want a coffee or not?" His eyes smiled and he slowly moved your hand away.

"Yes, where is this place you want to go?"

"FIFTY FIFTY Cafe." If Y/N was able to describe Fifty Fifty Cafe, it wouldn't even be in words. To put it short, Fifty Fifty Cafe was a cafe established on February 21st, 1991. The owner Kim Yongsun was a very happy lady. Her enthusiasm towards her customers and employees set the mood in the environment. You could say that Kim Yongsun is an absolute happy virus. And her happiness and joy in life sure do be spreading like a virus. Overall, the cafe was clean, minimalist, and organized. It had little green accents with the plants and the walls were a cream color. If anything, it was very aesthetic.

Seokjin nodded and went to his car. "I'll meet you there okay!?"

A/N: I'm back after a long break. I've been having writer's block and I literally can't think of chapters to write. So please be a little bit more patient with me!
