Chapter Five - Chase

"Agent Seri can you hear me?" I tap on me ear piece and a bunch of crackling sounds of feedback are heard.

"I hear you Agent L/N." Ok, sound check is good.

"Is everyone in their positions?" Seri called through the ear pieces.

"Yes. Suspect is inside the building and will soon come out." Han said pointing towards the door. "Ok, that's good. Choi Tae-il. 5'11, 150 pounds, and has had a 5 year prison sentence for kidnapping a woman. His record is dirty with a few broken laws but that's about it." Seri is inside the huge black van that had tinted windows to where you can't see a thing inside. The van is parked in a empty parking lot outside an huge apartment complex. The whole team already got a whole plan out on where all of the exits are. Today's first task is to capture Choi Tae-il and bring him back to the NIS for further investigation.

"CTI (Choi Tae-il) is close to first exit. All agents be ready for the chase." The doors slowly opened and a man walked out looking back and forth. That's him. He perfectly matches the description Seri gave . Everyone ran at Tae-il and the chase begun. Tae-il was a fast runner, swift, and precise even. He ran to the huge parking garage and started going up the floors. Me and Seokjin were running after him like there was no tomorrow. Agent Han and Oh went to the elevator to the top floor to block him from any further escape on the rooftop. A crackling sound of feedback was heard in the earpieces, "Agent Han here, I'm with Agent Oh and we're both at the top now. CTI is getting close, we have our tasers ready."

"Copy Agent Han. Don't pull your gun, we can't kill him now." Seokjin was yelling into the earpiece while running. He was getting tired and started to slow down. His feet were still going. Tae-il was now a good distance away from us but pulled out a bag of marbles and started pouring them on the ground. The light from the rooftop started to shine through. We're almost there! The light is just ahead of us, if only this moment could end and I can rest. Whoosh! Seokjin slipped on a few marbles and hit his face on the ground. I turned on my ear piece and started screaming at it, "ATTENTION! AGENT KIM IS HURT AND ON THE GROUND! CTI IS ALMOST TO THE TOP HURRY AND WE MUST STOP HIM NO-"

"COPY AGENT L/N! WE HAVE OUR TASERS READY!" I kept running and running. I couldn't stop myself. Just when I see Tae-il reach the rooftop, his body fell backwards. He started shaking and yelling in pain. I can see Agent Han holding him still and Oh putting on handcuffs around his wrist. I finally caught up grabbed Tae-il by the collar, holding him tightly by my hands. "You're under arrest, you have the right to remain silent. You have the right to an attorney and if you cannot afford an attorney one will be appointed to you. If you waive these rights and talk to us, anything you say may be used against you in court.". I held him in front of me dragging him along to the elevator. "You sly motherfuckers. You caught the wrong man! Aren't you supposed to be the powerful NIS? Nice try but that just isn't going to work.".

"You better shut your mouth or I will pull a trigger to your head Tae-il." Agent Oh cocked his gun to threaten him. Footsteps were heard getting closer and closer. Seokjin appeared with a bloody bruise on his face. "Seokjin are you okay?" I asked struggling to keep Tae-il still. "I'm okay." There was silence and the elevator doors opened. Everyone walked out the building in complete silence. Y/N reached for her radio, "Agent Yoon, we caught CTI. Heading our way to the van at 5 o'clock to your left.". The black van's headlights lit up signalling that the engine was turned on and was ready to leave whenever. Han and Oh were in the backseat holding down Tae-il with handcuffs. Seri sat in the driver's seat waiting for everyone to get situated. Seokjin and Y/N sat in another row of seats and put on their seat belts. "Are you okay? It looks really bad." 

"I'm feeling fine. I just need to take a moment to rest." Seokjin touched the wound very carefully and winced in pain. "Seri, step on it." Y/N commanded. "Copy L/N.". The vehicle drove faster in a consistent pace. 10 minutes pass and the team arrived at the agency. Two guards stood out front and ordered for everyone to step out of the vehicle. "We'll take it from here. You guys can go back to your station now." said one of the guards. Tae-il was taken and moved to the interrogation room. 

"The real game begins now right?"

"Yeah, the game begins now."
