Chapter # 9

Arriving in my floor in the Anderson Industry I saw Klaus talking to a co-worker.

I observed him from afar, it seems like he also has the same amount of experience Cole has... I wouldn't be surprise if he were also the CEO of this Industry. He was being professionally approachable with the workers...

Just then my train of thought was being interrupted with a hand waving in front of me.

"Good to see you liking what you see".Klaus Smirked as he crossed his arms.

"Funny... now what do you need help with?". I ask walking towards my office.

My whole afternoon was spent guiding Klaus around, with the calls, schedules, plans and other things that I have received in the past few days .

Currently we are staying in our office, Klaus resting in the couch due to migraine.

"You starting to feel ok?". I asked him as I stopped typing and looked at him.

"Yah". He answered.

Just then silence started to engulf both of us... but that was broken when...

"Did Cole tell you anything? About our past?". He asked.

"Yes he did... But I know that you've done nothing wrong". I answered as I turned my chair around to look at the sightful view of the cityscape in front of me.

Remembering again what my parents have done... is this going to be my life now? Being haunted by the thought of Cole knowing about what they have done? I've done nothing wrong as well.

I felt my heart clench in pain imagining Cole hating me.

With these thoughts on mind, I suddenly find myself being carried out of my chair by the one and only Klaus.

"What are you doing!?!?". I ask in panic.

He chuckled seeing my horrified state, as I kept of punching his chest.

"We have only 2 more hours left before ending this day, we should start moving and give Cole a lot less work to lessen his anger". He said as he looked at me and walked towards the door.

I haven't noticed it but, his brown hazel eyes shown brighter in the 5 o'clock shadow, I observed his facial features... he's handsome , there's no use denying that.

"Stop staring at me you creep". Klaus chuckled as he dropped me in the couch .

"By the way I didn't really need your guidance the whole afternoon, I just wanted to hang with you". He teased.

I gave him the death glare as he laughed his way out of the office.

I sighed once more as I got to my feet and walked out of the office as well.

It seems like he still cares for Cole despite the turnout of events... I might be wrong for suspecting him and for not trusting him.

As soon as I got out of the office I saw him already talking to the workers about important things... sigh I was being stupid of course he would know where things are... he's been secretary here for maybe a long time already.

Just then while observing his working state.

"Allistria". He called out as his one hand was supporting his chin.

I then hurriedly walked towards them.

"Could you list this down, and contact them later? They wanted to change some things about the project, and if ever you agree to it directly contact the finance department". He said as he pointed at the papers the other worker was holding.

I just nodded as I took hold of the paper for later.

More talking with other workers, companies , phone calls have been made, then we decided to return to the office once again.

"Start doing the phone calls I told you to do earlier". He said as he sat at the desk, while I on the chair in front of the desk.

I nodded as I placed the papers on top of the desk, while Klaus in the other hand was typing many things on the computer.

He has alot of experience indeed, even the way he's typing looks like he's been doing it in a long time.

"Is it just me? Or do you have the mannerism of staring at someone". He said teasingly, looking at the monitor before looking at me.

"Or am I just too attractive that your eyes cant seem to take enough of me". He teased some more.

I felt myself become flushed, in other words I felt my blood run up my cheeks. While he just chuckled at my reaction.

"Um... its probably my mannerism sorry... So don't get too full of yourself". I said with flushed cheeks.

He smirked and chuckled at me. And just nodded and continued typing when...

"Is it just me? Or do you purposely tease me for fun". I ask trying to tease him.

He then looked at me amused.

"Probably because of your staring habit". He teased back.

I snickered and continued making phone calls with a flushed face being looked at once in a while by Klaus.

Finishing all the things needed to be done for today I stretched my arms, neck and back.

"Nice work creep". He teased while looking at me.

I just kept quiet not knowing what to say.

"Want me to take you home? Its quite dark out already". Klaus suggested as he stood up.

I looked at him suspiciously, still not sure to trust him or not.

He sighed seeing the look on my face.

"Let's go stop over reacting". He said as he headed out and I followed.

As we sat quietly in his car, and typed my address in his GPS.

Just then I remembered something.

"About Cole... Don't tease him about his mother and his girlfriend please". I begged him as he drove through the city, the whole place was somewhat quiet due to the lateness of the night.

"I'll try...I know its wrong but, I do it to somehow take my anger and sadness out since things wouldn't go back to the way it was... even though I've done nothing wrong". He said.

I looked over to him to see a tear fall out of his eye before he wiped it with his hand.

"I understand...". I said as I patted his back gently.

Arriving home, Klaus dropped me at the foyer...

"See you tomorrow Creep, sleep well". He said but when he was about to drive off ...

"Who might you be". Someone said.

I looked at the owner of the voice to see dad walking towards us while, he on the other hand was staring at Klaus.

Because of this Klaus stopped the cars engine and got out of the car.

"Good evening sir I am Klaus Heinsten, Allistria's co-worker". He greeted dad as he shook his hand out.

Not expecting what dad did, he shook Klaus's hand and greeted him back as well... usually he would just stare at the
hand and walk away... what made him care about being proper with Klaus...

"Take care of my daughter... Klaus". Dad said with a weird tick as he started heading inside the house.

I just stood there not expecting what dad did... as I waved my hand to Klaus's moving vehicle moving away from me, I somehow managed to heave a heavy sigh...

What a day... seems like I could trust Klaus after all, despite being such a tease he actually is very caring and sweet there were some (most) choices wherein he cared for Cole, a side which I saw abit today which harmed my heart.

Hopefully things would turn out good tomorrow especially with Cole being there already... Hopefully we will be able to finish this project successfully, peacefully and ending the problem between the two.
