Chapter # 14

A month has passed by since that kiss... we havent been talking as much since then, when...

Currently coming into Cole's office, coming back from the successful presentation on our product, I sat on my chair feeling all slumped and tired when...

"Allistria". Cole said.

When I looked at him I noticed him already looking at me.

"A-about last month...". He started as he stared at me intently.

Does he hate it? Is it that bad?

I nervously felt my hand sweat as my face burned.

"I think we need to talk about something...". He said as I felt my heart beat out loud, while he on the other hand stood up and walked towards the front of my desk.

I gulped nervously and stayed silent waiting for him to start the topic.

"I... I've been feeling something for you". Cole said as he crouched down to my level as his elbow rested on top of my desk while looking at me.

My heart beated fast...

What is happening?

I kept quiet, speechless not knowing what to say...

"Please say something... I know you feel it too".He said as he lightly touched my burning cheek.

Feeling his cold finger linger in my cheek it felt good.

"B-but Cynthia?". I ask looking into his eyes.

"Like what you said... she wants me to be happy... I'm happy with you". He said sincerely, which sent my heart fluttering.

I am happy at what is going on, but what if he only likes me because I've been here for him, comforting him...

"You don't really have to answer anything right now...". He said as he pulled away from me and headed out from his office.

Right when he got out, I breathed hard noticing that I wasn't breathing the whole time.

I placed a hand to my chest feeling my heart beating fast, and sighed calming myself.

1 week later...

Cole started making me do his work... which was part of my training to become the next CEO of Cruz Industry.

We are currently in the meeting room, while I stay in the center of the room taking the role of CEO, while Cole in the other hand sat next to me.

Since the confession we have been kindda open and sometimes awkward with one another.

In the meeting we talked about future plans or projects that could possibly lead the Industry to more success... All through out I felt Cole's gaze on me.

And all through out I felt my face burn, but I made myself focus on the topics being discussed.

Sitting inside Cole's office I was seated on my own desk.

"That went pretty well". He said as he patted my head.

It did except for that fact that you kept on staring at me...

"You were being attractively serious". He teased as he stood up and slowly neared me.

He heard me!?!? I thought I said it in my head?

Because of this I shyly stood up, and slowly walked away as he started to run after me.

But before I could get away he hugged me from the back, and sat on the couch along with me ... making me sit in his lap.
I then looked at him to feel my heart beat loud, as me warmth from both our bodies collide, I feel so warm and safe.
I then looked away as I remembered that I was only given 1 week to do something to Anderson Industry.
