"Ahhh." I sighed as I stepped out of the plane "April, welcome to America." I fell in line with the other passengers and checked out.
Scanning around, I tried to find my way out of the crowded airport hall.
"Aha!" shouted a girl next to me. Stepping back, I surveyed her with a critical eye. Brown hair and eyes, she was not unlike me, however, it was clear we were different people. She blushed and muttered,
"I was too loud again wasn't I? Mom warned me not to be loud. Dang it." I chuckled and waited to see if she would notice that she was speaking aloud. She started to walk away and before I knew it, I had called "Wait!" across the hall. She looked up with shock clearly written on her face.
"Did you call me?" She asked timidly.
"Yes, where are you going?" I said with a huge grin hoping to look friendly but in my mind, I knew I looked like a freak.
"To Johnston University. I happened to see their bus over there." She said, pointing over to the huge silver bus with the huge words 'JOHNSTON UNIVERSITY" at the entrance. Wait, why didn't I see that just now?
"Oh, you are going to Johnstons? Me too!" I exclaimed.
"Wow, what a coincidence! We should probably get going before they fill up the good dorm rooms. Besides, there are only 6 dorms in the campus, the rest are outside..." She said, checking her cell-phone.
"Okay, what are you waiting for? Let's go!"
I smiled, it looks like I have officially made a new friend...
