Athanasius looked at the familiar man standing in front of him. The man had swept back golden hair and piercing red eyes like himself. Clad in shining golden armour with luxurious red cloth hanging from his waist. Arms folded across his chest with a refined expression smirking at him.

Impossible! What the hell is he doing here?! How is he even real?! Athanasius's eye twitched.

"Greetings, Athanasius, my heir. I am your ancestor, the first and greatest of Kings; Gilgamesh of Uruk." Gilgamesh said.

Athanasius sweatdropped while his eye twitched. You've got to be kidding me.

Gilgamesh chuckled at his expression."You, who have come to possess the key to my greatest treasure and unlocked its secrets. You have touched power and wealth that even the Gods eye with envy. As you are aware, I once ruled Uruk. By my reckoning, it has been thousands of years since my once glorious rule. By my own admission, I was a difficult ruler. While harsh, I ruled with fairness and justly. None under my rule suffered unfairly, and all enjoyed the safety under my rule. But, even one such as I must inevitably answer to powers beyond even my reach. After the death of my best friend Enkidu, I feared death. Not for my own sake, but for that of my Kingdom. For the vast treasures in my possession. What would happen to them when I was gone? My magnificent Babylon, what would become of it? I could never allow my beloved Babylon to be by mongrels, be it God or humans." Gilgamesh narrowed his eyes.

Athanasius stood silent.

"My kin were not worthy of such privilege. They could not comprehend the value of such an honour." Gilgamesh scowled. "They were greedy and unfair beings. Babylon would fall under their rule, and I would not allow that. So I locked away my treasures and arranged so that only my heir, someone truly worthy could take possession of and unlock the secrets of the Key of my Law; Bab-ilu. You are the worthy heir to access my treasures. You have my blessing to continue ruling Uruk. What was once mine is now yours to behold, my heir. Since I have blessed you as my heir, my power will combine with yours. You will have full access to the Gate of Babylon, and you have my blessing to rule Uruk as I once did."

"Thank you, King Gilgamesh. I will take good care of your Kingdom and rule alongside my best friend, Enkidu."

"Enkidu?" Gilgamesh asked hesitantly.

As if he was waiting for his name to be called, the green-haired man appeared next to Athanasius. He bowed his head to Gilgamesh.

Gilgamesh's eyes widened at the sight of Enkidu. He looks just like him! I see. So he's his reincarnation, huh? He smiled sadly.

Enkidu beamed when he saw Gilgamesh. "Woah~he really looks like you Athan, although he doesn't look so stiff like you."

A tick mark appeared on Athanasius's temple. He smacked Enkidu on the back of his head. "What did you say, brat?"

"Owie. Why did you hit me, Athan?" Enkidu pouted as he rubbed his head.

Gilgamesh, who was looking at them from the side, looked at them with a nostalgic look in his eyes. They reminded him when he was with his best friend when he was alive. He chuckled.

The duo looked at the smiling King.

Gilgamesh smiled nostalgically at the sight of them. "Take care of Uruk for me, Enkidu, Athanasius." The Golden King said before disappearing.

.

Athanasius and Enkidu's eyes snapped open, and their jaw dropped at the sight in front of them. They were in the outskirts of Uruk Kingdom.

Athanasius smiled. "Let's go towards the palace, Enkidu. Something tells me the people of Uruk are alive."

Enkidu nodded and followed Athanasius towards the new Kingdom.

As soon as they set foot in Uruk, the townspeople started cheering.

"It is as King Gilgamesh said! The new King is here!" One of the royal guards shouted as soon as they saw Athanasius and Enkidu.

Before the townspeople could gather around them, the royal guards took them towards the palace followed by the townspeople.

Not a minute later, the throne room was filled with the people of Uruk.

So fast! Enkidu and Athanasius sweatdropped.

"What is your name your majesty?" One of the royal knights asked Athanasius.

Athanasius looked at the royal knight. "My name is Athanasius de Alger Obelia."

"Come you have to be crowned officially as you have King Gilgamesh's blessing, your majesty." The royal knight ushered Athanasius towards the throne with Enkidu following them.

Athanasius nodded and sat on the throne. One of the royal knights brought the crown and placed it in Athanasius's head.

"All hail King Athanasius of Uruk!" The people bowed towards the new King of Uruk.

Well. It seems it will take me a little longer before I return to Obelia Empire. Athanasius smiled slightly.
