She hated the dark yet it was all that surrounded her.
She wanted to protest but the words won't come out of her mouth, as if the void is preventing her from doing so.
She has been like this for the past couple of days. She felt like her heart lacked of something. It reminded her of hollowness.
She's haunted upon the sound of cries and murmurs ringing over her ears. She wanted to know where those are coming from or who's behind such agonies.
Why are they crying?
Are they crying for me?
She wanted to laugh upon that certain thought. Who even cared for her in the first place, anyway?
Until she remembered him.
Yuan.
She still remembers how she was charmed upon his ruthless presence, from his piercing eyes down to his sharp jaw. Without the latter knowing, he never left her mind at all.
The happiness upon his memory vanished upon the series of violent flashbacks that appeared.
The wedding.
The gun.
The blood.
The loud bang.
And darkness.
She couldn't help but gasp even if she's unable to do so, thoughts slowly dawning on her.
I killed him?
She shrugged her head, trying not to believe such defiance.
No.
Please God, no.
I surely hope this is a hallucination.
Why am I delighted upon killing Yuan?
Oh no.
Please, wake me up.
"Oh my gosh, her hand just moved!"
She tried to move her hand without knowing that it'll actually work. She tried it for the second and third time, tapping her fingers against something soft.
And she was greeted by light.
It happened so quickly. It's as if someone pulled her up from the dark which relieved her.
Finally.
Or so she thought.
A shocked face of a woman was the first thing she had noticed as the latter was holding her hand firmly.
"She's finally awake!" The woman squealed in delight upon seeing her move, fanning herself with her hands upon the tears trickling down to her cheeks.
"Please, call the doctor real quick!" The latter ushered with a loud squeal, never letting go of her hand.
She looked at her, face scrunched in curiosity. She wanted to ask who she is. But of course, who is she joking? She can't move her mouth at all.
She glanced at her surroundings, eyes blinking in wonder. She was surrounded by white walls as a certain stench wafted through her nose. She couldn't help but wince.
Goodness, what am I doing here?
She searched for any traces of the gunshot that she endured from the gruesome incident. She felt the bullet straight through the lower region of her chest.
