'Crap'

Cross had been moving all of the objects in the room (the books didn't do anything sadly,) and he had heard noises from the other side of the wall. He felt as if he had been trapped (well he has), kind of  like Chara in their soul.

Speaking of, where was Chara anyways? Cross looked above him, in all directions. Despite this, Chara was nowhere to be seen. Though there was a simple way to find them.

Cross took a heavy book from the shelf and jabbed himself in the stomach. He groaned, it was painful. Silence still echoed through the room, though. No whining from Chara of how stupid he was or anything.

It was kind of nice.

But it was also wrong. He had gotten used to the bickering, especially when he started dating Dream. Stars, they made a "bleh" sound whenever they kissed it did anything romantic.

Cross sighed. Dream was gone, Chara was gone too..? He felt a overwhelming feeling in his soul, one he never wanted to feel. He wiped his eyes, tears started to go down. He hadn't cried in forever, not really even when he was working for Nightmare.

Honestly, the last time he cried was in the void where his universe used to be. It was more of panic attacks, yes, but it still left crying.

Dream never let him cry, he instead filled his heart with warm feelings, to forget whatever was the reason of pain. He could feel emotions, his aura. So could Nightmare.

Wait a second.

If Nightmare could feel his emotions, couldn't Shatter technicality do the same?

Cross stopped crying, trying to calm his own aura, so that it wasn't sad. Though if Shatter was anywhere near where Cross had been located, he would have already felt the emotions. And he assumed so, he had heard noises outside of the wall and it was probably Shatter.

Suddenly the lights went out, and a ringing noise filled his ears. (What is with my imagination? 🤔) He couldn't hear anything but the noise, and sight was nonexistent.

The noise disappeared, and the lights came back on. He wasn't alone anymore. There stood the younger prince. He didn't look himself. (Too bad Cross doesn't have a snickers.) From that smile he was wearing, he seemed to not think the same either.

Cross stepped backwards in a battle stance. Shatter stepped toward him, shoes making soft sounds against the carpet. "Why were you sad?" He simply said, frowning at the white-haired boy in front of him.

"I- what?" Cross stopped himself from answering, confused at why he even said anything. Was it Shatter's aura? Maybe he was controlling him in a way. But how? His magic type shouldn't be able to.

"I said, why were you sad?" Shatter asked again, annoyance in his tone. Cross huffed, looking away, causing Shatter to groan.

"Answer me." Shatter was close now, too close.

"None of your business." Cross pushed the other away from him, again attempting to use magic.

"It very well is my business." Shatter was strangely calm after being pushed, as if he didn't mind. "Because, you," Shatter stood back but crossed his arms," will be my king."

Cross sputtered "Wh- what?! No, never!" He stepped back again, deciding it wasn't the best idea to fight someone who could still clearly use magic.

"Fine." Shatter wiped non-existent dust (no, not that kind) off of his clothes. "Refuse me now, it won't really matter." He smiled and the room became dark again.

'Oh no.' Cross waited for the ear-piercing sound, but instead Shatter added, "One more thing, if you want to get out of here, you really should listen more."

Cross stood in the darkness confused. He didn't have a chance to think before the sound went on again. Just for a few seconds, but when everything turned off (well the lights turned on but still-) Shatter was gone. He couldn't ask any questions himself even.

He sighed and looked back at the bookshelf. 'Guess I'll have to do more reading.'

—/—

Hello! I know this chapter is short, but I really am trying to update more! Hopefully any casualties in updating will be because of me moving. (In case, I am.)

Sorry if I haven't responded to your comment, though now I am trying to. I do enjoy to hear them and don't be afraid to give feedback!

And thank you for reading and voting for my story. It's insane that it's almost at 4K reads! I didn't think that it would get this far.

I also just realized that there isn't a part seven. I am renaming the chapters. If you are a current reader that is reading this as it is published and the book is still this way, I am sorry.

Happy reading! I hope you enjoyed.
