The scientist stood in front of the raven-haired boy, silent. Nightmare sat in a chair as Sci-fi studied him. It was really uncomfortable to be honest.

"Uh- hello?" He said quietly, making the standing on snap out of his trance. "Oh sorry," he laughed, stepping away from the chair. "Personal space right? Sorry about that. Just studying your physical condition that's all."

Night looked up at the very green boy with a eyebrow raised. "Not that you arnt heathy or anything, just trying to see any scars or things.."

The scientist fueled with his fingers as he rambled, rather quickly actually. It was almost hard to understand.

He cleared his throat as he made his way to a computer, typing down observations. "So, uh. You have any family?" He asked, not keeping his eyes off the screen. "Technically, yes.." Nightmare replied, slightly gripping at the sides of the chair.

"You said 'technically,' so I suppose it's not the best thing in the world?" Simon took a sip from his coffee mug. (Ew.) "Yeah, it's not the best at the moment."

"Ah." The scientist simply replied, not seemingly caring about how anxious the other seemed to feel. (That sounds rude, he's just very oblivious. Please don't get mad at the green bean.)

"Uhm, do you have any family?" Nootmare asked, trying to make conversation. Simon flinched slightly at the question, before simply replying- "No."

'Sh*t.' Nightmare thought. (Stop cursing.) "Well, I mean I do have my cousins. You've met most of them, in the void. My close family members died." Sci-fi spun around in his chair, slightly catching Nightmare off guard.

"Don't feel bad about brining it up. You arnt tormenting me about my brother's and mothers' death." He looked slightly to the right, uncomfortably causal talking about a subject like one of almost everyone you loved death.

"Uh-" before nightmare could reply, a loud voice came from the other room.

"I'm sure they will find me funny!" Simon sighed, shaking his head, right before yelling back. "Stop breaking the fourth wall, Amara!" (Yeah stop braking the fourth wall Amara. Do you have any idea how much flex tape it takes to patch up that wall every single time you break it?)

"Yes, actually it's quite wasteful." Suddenly a boy appeared on Simon's desk, out of thin air. He was a little see-through. But that was to be expected of a ghost. He had on older looking clothes, a vest and a dress shirt. Yet he still wore some pretty comfortable looking shorts. He also wore a top hat with trinkets scattered on top as if he were the mad hatter. He had bunny ears attached to it, a pocket watch hanging from it, and other things scattered along the brim. Pocket watches were everywhere on his outfit, to be fair. He emitted a soft blue glow as well.

(Then stop doing it!) "Oh but it's the only thing I really do in the storyline right now!" He frowned, seemingly arguing with thin air.

Nightmare thought he was crazy.

Who was he talking to? He seemed to pause between times he talked, so either there was sometime in the room that he couldn't see, or "Amara" was mad. <Well there is someone in this room they can't see, right S?> (Be quiet, the readers don't need to know that there's two of us talking.)

"But now they know, don't they?" The white-haired boy said, face smug. (Carp.) <Ahah guess they do then.> (How come you don't care?) <Because it doesn't matter anyways.>

"It really doesn't, does it?" Amara laughed, crossing his legs. (...) <!!> (...) <...> "You arnt gonna respond are you?" Silence echoed the room.

"Alright then, bye Sci, bye new guy who I totally don't know!" Blue magic spiraled around him, as he quickly disappeared.

"W-what the?" Nightmare stood in his chair. "Amara, he comes and goes." Simon looked at Night's shocked face and sighed.

"You should probably get used to ghosts and demons if you wanna live here. And chaos, lots and lots of chaos. Mostly from Frost and Flame."

Nightmare sighed as Simon went back to taking notes, asking questions now and again. Kind of like a doctor? Not exactly but similar I guess.

"Am I scary?" The purple boy asked the girl next to him. "Nah." She responded, leading against the wall. "Then why did-" he started asking her before she interrupted. "Flame is just a wimp is all." She said casually. "It's hard to think that with someone as hostile as you as a twin for him." He responded, laughing slightly.

"Ha, I guess so." She paused, crossing her arms. "Who is that guy anyways?" Her Blue eyes squinted at the doorway that led into her cousin's lab.

The boy next to her flinched slightly, before replying (kinda shakily) "No idea." He looked away from Frost, one arm gripping the other.

"That's not very convincing, Blackout." She sighed, standing up regularly. "Imma go train, I'll send Forest and Liam to come guard the door, just stay right here for now." She stayed walked walking away. Most solder siblings would get annoyed by a comment like that, but Blackout replied joking.

"Ey-eye captain." Frost nearly laughed as Black bowed jokingly. "You're a dork, you know that. You should stop acting so serious all of the time." She walked away, hair flowing behind her.

"Haha yeah.." Black responded, Frost too far down the hallways to hear. He silently turned around toward the doorway, whispering to himself.

"What happened to you?"
