Caleb: Liza! I have to tell you something, I just spoke to Benjamin. He told me something that I think you want to know. It's about Sam and Chad. Call me?
'Caleb? Caleb! You really have something to explain! What were you talking about?!' I yell when Caleb answers the phone. 'Liza calm down please, I am sorry that I need to be the one to tell you this,' he starts, 'Uhm I don't know how to tell you this'. 'Just say it already'. 'Okay, well Benjamin saw Sam and Chad together last night,' he hesitates, 'he said they weren't just hanging out, as friends, if you know what I am saying'. 'They kissed Liza, Benjamin saw them kiss,' he says.
My heart drops. I feel tears covering my eyes. I don't know what to say. Chad and Sam? My elementary best friend and my boyfriend? No, no, no, no! That can't be true!
'Liza?' He asks, 'are you okay?'
I don't reply.
'Liza I am coming over to see if you're okay,' he says.
He hangs up the phone.
He is on his way. Chad and Sam that's the only thing in my head right now. I feel the tears rolling down my cheeks, I sink down on the floor. I feel numb and I am shaking.
The doorbell rings.
I walk to the door and open it, it's Caleb. When I see him the tears start rolling down my cheeks again. He hugs me.
'I know I have to talk to him, b- but how could he!' I start, 'and S-Sam?! My best friend!' I start crying and I can't stop. 'I am here for you, always,' he says.
We watched a movie together and talked, we talked a lot. I came to the conclusion that I have to talk to both of them. I trust Caleb, so I am breaking up with Chad. He doesn't deserve me!
'Liza? I should leave,' Caleb says. I sigh. I look at the time, 2:00 a.m. 'I don't want to be alone tonight,' I say. He smiles and nods. 'Do you want to spend the night?' I ask. He nods again. We go upstairs to my bedroom. I put on my pajama and lay down in bed, resting my head on his chest. He is holding me. 'Thank you, Caleb'. 'Always!'
The next morning I wake up with Caleb next to me. It's weird, but it feels safe. Today is the day that I am going to confront them, Chad and Sam.
