We arrive at the party. I don't know whose place it is. I don't think that I've ever been here before.

When we walk inside I see him. Chad, standing at the kitchen table playing a game of beer pong with Benjamin, Liam, and some other people.
'Well well well see who we have there!' He says pointing at me, 'if it isn't the person who thinks I am a cheater and who makes other people believe that I am abusive! Liza hey!' I look around everybody is quiet, waiting for my reaction. 'Chad, are you drunk?' I ask. 'Maybe, why do you care? You don't care about me!' He walks up to me, 'you know what, let's play a game of truth or dare and I will tell you the truth about what happened,' he suggests. 'I don't think that's a good idea at the moment'. 'Who wants to play truth or dare?!!' Liam yells. Everybody is being excited except for two persons. Alex and me. We both decide to go along with it tho.

We head to the living room and sit around in a circle, just like truth or dare when we were in elementary school. Except for this time my drunk ex-boyfriend is here.
I sit down next to Caleb.
Truth or dare has never been my kind of game. I've always had a good excuse not to kiss other people or that kind of stuff. But my excuse was the relationship that I don't have anymore.
Chad starts, 'truth or dare, Olivia'. Olivia hesitates, 'truth'. 'Did you tell Liza that Sam and I kissed, what we didn't by the way!' I shake my head, this is going to be a long night. 'No I did not!' Olivia says. Now it's Olivia's turn. 'Truth or dare, Sam?' She says. 'Truth'. 'Did you kiss Chad,' she asks Sam. Sam looks at Chad. 'We uhm, yeah, we kissed, once. But Liza and Chad weren't in a relationship then,' she explains. She seems like she's telling the truth. 'Truth or dare, Liza?' Sam says. 'Truth!' 'Did you and Chad break up?' I look at Chad. He is looking at me. 'Yes, yes we did,' I say confidently.
'Well let's spice things up then!' Benjamin yells. 'No I don't think that's necessary,' I say. 'Truth or dare, to the new dude and the host of tonight! Alex!' Benjamin says. It was my turn, but I let it go. 'Oh well, let me do a nice dare!' He says. 'Let me think,' Benjamin says. 'Kiss me,' Olivia says and she starts to laugh. Everybody starts to laugh except for me if he does this than we all know what kind of guy he is.
He stands up and steps in her direction. 'I am not going to kiss you, I don't even know your name,' he says. Olivia turns red. I can't remember the last time she has been rejected.
'Well if you don't wanna do your dare, we have to come up with another one!' Liam says. 'Five minutes in heaven, with Liza,' Liam adds. He nods. 'That's childish Liam,' I say. 'A dare is a dare,' Benjamin says.

We go upstairs to the closet. 'Ladies first,' Alex says pointing at the closet. I laugh, 'well thank you'. We both step into the closet. 'Can I ask you something, Alex?' He nods. 'Why didn't you want to kiss Olivia?' He smiles. 'I don't kiss girls I don't know, and she wanted it too badly'. I laugh, 'yeah that's Olivia'.
'Do you already miss him?' He asks. 'Who, Chad?' 'Yes?' I nod. 'We've been together for two years now and I really loved him, so it would be weird if I wasn't sad or didn't miss him already,' I explain. 'If you're strong enough to let yourself fall in love and give everything you have, you will be strong enough to pick up all your pieces and start over,' Alex says, looking me in my eyes. We just stand there looking at each other. Staring in each other's eyes.
I always knew that five minutes in heaven could be intense. But I just broke up with my boyfriend and I am already very interested in this boy.
'Five minutes are over, love birds!' Liam says and he opens the closet.
We look at each other one last time and then we both walk out. We join the rest of the group, who are very curious to know if something had happened. We tell them we just talked because that's the truth.
The rest of the evening was fun people went back to being normal, no more truth or dare. Chad had been drinking a lot and so did I. I don't normally drink, but I needed it, I have been a mess this evening.

When I am about to head home, Alex stops me. 'Liza?' He says. I turn around. 'Just remember that your midnights should be saved for someone who deserves it, don't waste the stars for someone who can't give you the light'. I smile and head home.

He is a mysterious guy.
