Chapter 4

{Lauren pov}

Today is the first day of summer. I made it through the year, thank god. “Lauren get down here now” i hear my mom yell. i get up and put a shirt on, i'm about to head out when i hear my phone start to ring. i look at the screen and see that its christian “sup” i say as soon as i answer the phone “dude you wanna go to the mall today?” he asks, i head downstairs and see my mom with the broom in her hand.

she looks at me then points to the wall and i see a bee on the wall just hanging there, i chuckle and turn to look at my mom “idk man i have to ask my mom, plus i think she works today” i tell christain and i start looking for a shoe. “tell her that my mom will give you a ride and it will only be for a lil while”he says “fine put your mom on the phone and i'll let her talk to her” i walk over to where my mom was and hand her my phone “here ma christians mom wants to talk to you” she gives me a question look and puts the phone to her ear.

i walk over to the wall and look at the bee and just wait till its really still, i slam the shoe against the wall and kill the bee. “lauren you have permission to go. please be good don't do anything stupid take care of yourself please.” i nod my head mom i'm always good i don't do anything stupid.” i tell her, she looks at me and smiles “i know lauren its just that nevermind” she says as she turns and walks upstairs.

{camila pov}

i was talking on the phone with dinah and she was talking about this boy she met.” my gosh mila he was like so cute and his eyes were just dreamy” i laugh and get up from my bed to grab my laptop i put my earphones in my phone so i don't have to hold it up to my ear.

i see my dad stick his head in my room “camila” he says, i take one earphone out and look at him. “ i want you to meet someone today and shes coming to dinner tonight” he tells me with a smile on his face. heres the thing about my dad he hasn't been happy for a while now, hes been depressed and stuff like that.

my mother left him when we used to live in georgia and well he hasn't been happy but now he just has a smile on his face. “camila?” he calls out to me “oh yea i'll be ready and is it ok if i go to lauren’s tonight?” i ask, he looks at me and nods his head. I see him close my door, “dinah i'm back” i tell her she says ok and we just keep talking on the phone

*later that night*

Hey my dad said i  could go over tonight after i meet his gf!!

yay!! just tell me what time so i can tell christians mom to drop me off at home but if its after 9 just text me cause i'll be home.

i put my phone down and head over to start looking for my clothes.

*that evening*

i'm showered and just sitting here with anthony watching some show. I see that i got a text from laur and i read it

loser my plans got canceled, so i'll be at home by myself. so you don't have to call or text just knock as soon as you get here. see you later:P

i smile at the text and close it out “camila come set the table please and anthony please go get dressed” i hear my dad yell.

i get up and head to the kitchen. i see my dad dressed all fancy, he’s wearing a red button up shirt with a black tie and black pants. he turns to look at me, “mila do i look ok?” he asks, i nod my head and go up to him to fix his tie because it was more to one side then in the middle. “There you go” he smiles at me and turns around to walk to the door because someone was knocking.

{lauren pov}

Well my plans got cancelled at the last minute. Just because christian got in trouble for doing something stupid. i'm home alone because my mom took my sisters to her best friends house. i have no idea what to do since camila can't come over right now. I make my way to the kitchen and look for some junk food, i hope we have some since laura and rebeca eat everything.

I look inside the side cabinet and find a bag of doritos. “score” i take the bag and walk over to the refrigerator and grab a drink. “well netflix lets see what you have for me today”

{camila pov}

its 9 something and my dads gf is still here. shes really nice and gets along with my brother, i like her and everything.Her name is melanie and has one kid which is a little girl her name is sophie. right now were watching tv and i got a text from lauren asking when was i gonna come over. i get up and walk over to my dad

“Dad can i go over to laurens now?” i ask he looks at me and nods. he gets up and pulls out his keys from his pockets “hey melanie you wanna come or wait here with anthony?” i hear my dad ask as i run upstairs.

i grab my gym bag that has my toothbrush and other things i need for when i wake up. i don't grab Pj’s because lauren always lets me borrow some sweat pants and a shirt. “camila please hurry up” i hear my dad yell. i check to see if i have everything and head down stairs, i say bye to anthony which i think i only heard him grunt at me. i walk outside and shut the door behind me, i look up and see my dad already in the car with melanie.

i see her smile, and i smile back and walk towards the car and get in

i don't reply to the message and turn off my phone

{Lauren pov}

I have watched so many episodes of bobs burgers that i think its gonna affect my childern in the future. i get up and walk to the kitchen to grab another soda, yes i'm pigging out. first of its summer and i don't have to worry about anything. i walk back over to the sofa and plop down, i put my legs up on the table.

I grab the remote and click on another episode of bobs burgers. this episode was where tina wanted a birthday party and wanted to kiss her boy crush or something like that. i lean over and grab the soda and as soon as i open it the whole soda explodes and falls on my shirt. “shit” my whole white tank top; i grab it and pull it off and sling it who knows where.

i run to the kitchen to grab some napkins to clean the sofa that got some drink on it. As soon as i step back into the living room i hear a knock at the door. without thinking or anything i walk over to the door and look through the peep hole to see who it was and i see camila. she knocks again knocking me out of my little world.

i grab the doorknob and pull the door before she knocks again. “oh hey” she says with her fist balled up in the air. “hey” i say back we stand there just smiling at each other. “uhh right come in” i tell her and step back so she could walk in.

“Thanks” she says, i close the door and walk over to her and grab her hand “uhh laur wheres your shirt?” she asks, i look down and she myself shirtless “i spilled soda on myself and well i took it off and so yea” i tell her, she nods and we walk upstairs to get ready for tonight.
