Chapter 30

{Camila pov}

Today was the fourth of July. Lauren and I had planned to go watch fireworks and have a cookout with her family and friends. I didn't want to go at first but she persuaded me, Austin had left town for 3 weeks so I was with Lauren basically everyday.

She was fun to be around, I never stopped smiling or laughing. She was just so different compared to Austin, he never made me laugh as much as Lo. All we basically did was argue and fuss. He was beginning to be annoying.

I'm laying in bed when all of the sudden I get a text from Austin

From:Austin

Look camila. Im sorry for busting out on u but you were being a little bitch.

I roll my eyes at the stupid message and close it out. I sit up to pull on my white converse. Lauren was gonna be here any minute, I walk up to the mirror and look over my outfit.

I was wearing a white crop top with some black denim shorts. I grab my vibrating phone and see Austin's name across the top. I sigh and answer the call

Camila: "what?"

Austin: "why the world would u read the freaking message and not reply?"

I sigh against the phone and put my hand on my forehead.

Camila: "Aus i don't want to fight right now, so bye"

Austin: " Dont you dare hang up on m-

I cut him off mid-sentence and turned off my phone. I put it in my back pocket and headed downstairs, I got downstairs and see my dad all dressed up.

"Where you going?" I ask him walking up to straighten up his tie that was to the side, "I am going to meet my girlfriend's kids today." He says turning to face the mirror on the wall, I smile and turn him around to face me.

"You need to go change out of this weird looking suit and dress casually" I tell him. He opens his mouth and I put my hand up signaling him not to say anything. I pointed upstairs and he pouts and heads up.

I watch as he walks to his room when there was a knock at the door. I walk towards the door and peek through the tiny hole to see Lo waiting for the door to open.

I smile and open the door to come in contact with blueish greenish eyes. "Ello love" she says with a british accent, she walks up to me and wraps her arms around my waist.

She looks down at me and was starting to lean in when we were interrupted "Mila does this look ok?" I pull away from Lauren and stumble back a bit.

I look at him from top to bottom and nod my head "better" I say to him

"Woah Mr. Cabello. Where ya goin?" Lauren asks, I roll my eyes at the convo they were both having.

{Lauren pov}

I was talking to Tony and he was telling me about the bike he wanted to buy.

"I think it's a good deal. If it's only been driven twice" I tell him. He nods and looks down at his watch "well girls I have to go. Please be careful and don't have sex on the streets" he says looking directly at me.

I put my hands up "no promises" I wink "just use protec-bye dad!" Camila cuts him off, I laugh and walk up to Camila and wrap my arms around her waist "ready to go?" I ask the shorter girl. She nods her head and intertwine our fingers.

She grabs her keys from the table beside the door and we head out. I see glacier stick his head out and bark out at us. "Oh glaze is coming?" She asks. "Mhmm" I answer, "then ill be right back" I watch as she bounces back inside the house. I stand in front of glaze and pet him "woman huh?" He barks up at me and licks my hand.
