Media: Mary's bedroom
Carmen POV
I started to regret not asking Rayla to be with me when I confronted my mom.
I was already halfway up the stairs and still didn't know what exactly to say to her.
When I opened the door to my moms room was sitting on the edge of the bed, obviously drunk, an empty bottle of vodka sat on the nightstand.
"Where have you been honey?" She stumbled towards me. "I was worried about you."
This was absolutely the worst time ever for my mother to be drunk. Why couldn't I have a NORMAL life with a NORMAL mother?
Mary's current state of comprehension made me even more nervous to tell her what was going on.
"And Raymond is gone too." She frowned. She looked so sad right now and I hated it. "I miss Raymond. He makes me so happy Carmen."
My stomach was turning and I felt like I was going to throw up. How could my mom have such strong feelings for a guy that she just met?
Because they didn't just meet.
"The three of us are going to be such a beautiful family." She smiled. "Just give him some time sweety. He will warm up to you."
Realizing that they've been together for a while, my stomach was turning flips. My mom would be so devastated to know that this guy she really likes tried to rape her daughter. Seeing my mom depressed would make me feel so horrible.
Get yourself together Carmen.
None of this is your fault.
I took a few deep breaths before revealing the confession. "Mom, Raymond is not here because he tried to molest me last night."
"What?" Her eyebrows pulled together.
"Yes, but Rayla saved me. She tazered him." I felt so much relief that my mom knew the truth.
"She tazered him?! Where is he?" My mom's face kept tightening. She seemed just as angry about it as Rayla was.
"I don't know mom. Should we call the police on him?" I gave her a concerned look.
"Call the police on him?! I should be calling the police on you and Rayla!" She shoved me.
"What?" I was so confused.
"Yes, you tazered my Raymond! How could you make up such an unbelievable story Carmen?" She rose from her bed. "I trusted you and Rayla! I allowed the both of you to stay here and I took care of the both of you! And this is how you repay me?"
"Mom no, you're taking this all wrong. Raymond tried to RAPE me." I grabbed Mary's shoulders. "Listen to me mom."
"Do not f*cking touch me you lying slut!" She shoved me to the ground this time. "You are jealous of me and my boyfriend and you tried to have sex with him, didn't you?!"
"No mom no!" I screamed.
"You liar!" She walked towards the bathroom. "I hate you so much! You and Rayla can both to go to hell!" She slammed the door.
My head was spinning and my body felt limp.
Someone had stabbed me multiple times and I was feeling the pain. All of the words that my mom said kept repeating in my head and a throbbing headache was forming.
I didn't get off of the floor. I stayed there. I couldn't find the strength to move a muscle.
