Carmen POV

Raymonds hands pulled me from the tub and onto the tile. I tried to resist his tug, but he was a lot stronger and taller than me.

He unwrapped the towel from me and his smile grew even wider.

"We are going to have a little fun tonight Carmen." He pulled his own pants and shirt off. "Don't, be difficult."

I felt as if all of the air in my body was gone. I couldn't speak, I was so terrified of Raymond that I couldn't move either. I just sat on the cold, dirty white tile and shook.

An earthquake was going on. I was trembling so harshly yet being wet and cold wasn't helping.

But when his boxers came off, my body became alert. I got back on my feet and screamed. Loud.

Someone would hear me. Rayla or my mom would wake up, wouldn't they?

Before I could scream again, Raymond was on top of me, squeezing both of my wrists with one hand and covering my mouth with the other.

I closed my eyes. There was nothing else I could do to save myself from him.

After seconds of having my eyes closed, I realized that Raymond wasn't raping me. He was also shaking, just as hard as I am. I thought it was just me, but it was him too.

When I lifted my eyelids, Rayla was standing over the both of us, holding a tazer into Raymonds back. He was already knocked out, but she wouldn't stop.

"Rayla! Ok! Stop. You're going to murder the man!" I got up from under him and loosened Raylas grip on the tazer and set it on the counter.

Rayla didn't move, she just stared at the unconscious man laying in the floor with hatred.

"Look at me." I grabbed her face and looked in her eyes. "Its ok."

"Its ok." She repeated. Her face finally softened. "Lift your arms." She dried me off with my towel and picked up the LSU shirt.

I did as told and it was placed over my head. She brushed my hair back into a big bun. We didn't say anything for a while, but I could feel her eyes on me while mine were closed, trying to erase what just happened.

"Are you ok?" Rayla finally spoke up.

"I'm fine. Thank you." I stared into Raylas eyes. She knew I was lying. I knew I was lying. She stared back and pulled me into a hug.

That's when the meltdown hit me like a pile of bricks. The whole situation that I felt I'd imagined, came to reality. Tears were rolling down my face and I was crying so hard that the shoulder of Raylas shirt was becoming very damp.

She was not letting go of me and I was not letting go of her. Without even thinking, I wrapped my legs around her waist and she was carrying me back to the living room.

She laid down with me on top of her. I couldn't stop crying until I fell asleep once again. I knew that she didn't fall asleep until after I did.
