(A/N, yep, this is another emotional oneshot, maybe, or it may be a failed attempt at something emotional, idk, anyway, enjoy this possible piece of trash!)

Mitch just sat in the chair at the doctor's office, to shocked to move, talk, or even cry. His brain could barely process the words the nurses had told him. His boyfriend had a disease that was making him lose his memory.
Mitch tried to think, but could only have the words repeated in his mind.
"Mitchy?"
He looked up, seeing his boyfriend. "Yes, baby?"
"Am I sick or something?" Scott asked.
Mitch smiled. "It's gonna be okay, Scotty, I promise."
"Are you sure? You seem upset." Scott said. "I hate it when my babygirl's upset."
Mitch smiled a little more. "I'm not upset, honey, I'm just a little stressed."
"Okay." Scott said. "Baby?"
"Yes?"
"Do you wanna watch a movie tonight?"
"Yeah, that sounds fun!" Mitch said, as the nurses walked back in. "As soon as we get home!"
"Whenever that happens."
A while later, they were finally home.
"What're you making?" Scott asked.
Mitch smiled. "It's your favorite!"
Scott looked over Mitch's shoulder. "My favorite food is pasta? Really?"
Mitch's smile faded. "Yeah, it is."
Scott put a forkful in his mouth. "Damn this is good! No wonder it's my favorite!"
Mitch laughed. "See! Now you're remembering!"
Scott grinned. "What're we gonna do after this?"
"We're gonna watch a movie, I'll let you pick." Mitch said.
Scott looked through all the movies. "When did we get these?" He asked, holding up the Harry Potter movies.
Mitch looked behind him. "You wanted them for your birthday."
"Why? I've never seen them." Scott said. "I don't even know what Harry Potter is."
Mitch tried to smile. "Yes you do, don't you remember the kids at a wizard school? Those movies?"
Scott shook his head. "Am I supposed to remember?"
"No, honey, we can watch that tomarrow night." Mitch said.
Scott's face lit up. "I remember this!" He held up their Spongebob movie.
Mitch laughed. "Yeah! Do you wanna watch it?"
"Yeah I do!" Scott exclaimed. "This movie is so good!"
Mitch smiled, as Scott sat down next to him.
Halfway through the movie, Mitch felt Scott's hand on his shoulder. "Babe? What're you doing?"
"You have Spongebob tattoos?" Scott asked. "These are great!"
Mitch clenched his jaw. "Yeah, I have them, thanks, baby."
"Are you okay?" Scott asked.
"Yeah, let's just finish up the movie, okay, babe?"
*time skip to six months later*

"Hey, baby?" Mitch asked. "Tomorrow's our anniversary!"
Scott grinned. "Yeah!"
Mitch smiled back. "Do you remember what we always do?"
Scott's grin faltered. "Um, no?"
Mitch kept his smile on his face. "We go out to our favorite restaurant, then we come back here, drink wine, and talk."
"Oh! We do that?" Scott asked.
"Every year." Mitch said. "Hey, Matt wants to know if she can come over."
"Who's Matt?" Scott asked.
Mitch nearly fell over. "He's a friend! Baby, do you remeber Kevin?"
Scott thought about it. "Not really."
"What about Kirstie?"
"Name sounds familiar."
"Baby? Do you know who I am?" Mitch asked.
Scott smiled. "You're my boyfriend."
Mitch sighed. "Okay."
The next day, Scott of course didn't remember that it was their anniversary.
"Happy anniversary, baby." Mitch said, kissing Scott.
"Happy anniversary, sweetheart." Scott said.
Mitch lit up. "Did you remember?"
Scott shook his head. "I kind of did, but not really."
Mitch smiled. "Well, I love you."
"I love you too."
A while later they were laying on the floor.
"These were pictures from our last anniversaries." Mitch said, handing Scott his phone.
"Aw! These are cute!" Scott said. "Who's this guy?"
Mitch looked to who his boyfriend was pointing to. "That's me!"
"That's you? You had a beard?"
Mitch laughed. "Yeah, once upon a time I had a beard."
Scott grinned. "This one's cute! Scomiche forever. What's a Scomiche?"
"It's our ship name!" Mitch said.
"Oh, okay." Scott said. "This one says Scott and Mitch equals love. Who's Mitch?"
Mitch froze, tears filling his eyes. "That's my name."
"Oh, right! I forgot that was your name, babe." Scott said.
"Scott, I'll be right back." Mitch said.
"Okay."
Mitch went into the kitchen, breaking down into sobs. He collapsed on the floor, trying to cry quietly so Scott wouldn't hear him.
"Baby? What's wrong?" Scott asked.
"Nothing." Mitch called, his voice cracking.
Scott walked in. "You've been crying."
"Just a little." Mitch said.
Scott held his boyfriend close. "Why?"
"Lots of things, baby." Mitch replied. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay." Scott said. "I love you."
"Scott," Mitch said. "No matter what happens, I'm gonna help you remember everything."
Scott nodded.
"What's my name?"
"Um...."
"Mitch."
"Mitch?"
"There you go! You're getting there, Scotty!" Mitch said.
"I love you, Mitchy." Scott said.
Mitch had fresh tears rolling down his cheeks. "I love you too."
