Y/N's POV:

"Welcome to my office", Iron Fist greeted, "I have a bit of paperwork I need help understanding".

I was expecting to do a bit more action than reading contracts and paperwork to a superhero, but things can't get any worse, right?

"How does that affect me?", he asked, after me reading Section 3B of the employee Level 7 expectations, rights and responsibilities document.

"You're a higher level than most agents, so you have access to more information and more classified intel. You also have access to more advanced weaponry and gadgets- which I'm sure you of all people don't need- but it's a benefit either way. Other than that, you're given more leadership roles and are expected to do more paperwork, so I'll assume I'm being posted here for a while", I informed him, "But your rights are a little different because you're also part of the Enhanced Individual Indexes, your alter ego will remain a secret to any agent your level or below unless clearance or your voluntary permission is given to an individual or group and- ah, you won't be doing as much paperwork as a standard Level 7 agent, you'll be focusing on missions where you'll be leading teams of agents and lower level agents."

He nodded, "Is there anything else important I should know about?"

"Nothing really", I said, "Is there anything you want me to ask Agent Coulson?"

"I'm okay, but thank you", he said with a warm smile, "Maybe we could eat out later today? I want to get to know you better, especially since I am going to be spending more time with you".

"Sure", I replied, trying to avoid thinking about how cute he was like this, "Though you might draw a little unwanted attention with the mask and costume on and I don't have the clearance to know your secret identity yet".

"Not unless I give you my voluntary permission to see who I am", he smiled, taking off his mask, "I'm Daniel Rand, but I'd prefer it if you called me Danny- uh, just not while anyone else is around, I don't want anyone else knowing my identity".

"Nice to properly meet you", I said, "So how did you survive the plane crash?"

His eyes widened slightly, "How did you know about the plane crash?"

"Agent Coulson gave me a USB about everything they had on you, except they redacted any information that may give away your identity, but I noticed ties to Rand Enterprises and I did my own research. It says there was a plane crash and you, your parents and one other all killed", I told him.

Hold on. I find Iron Fist cute?

"Ah, okay", he said, calming down, "But I'd prefer we didn't talk about that right now".

I nodded, "Alright".

He took his suit off, revealing the body of a sex god, not a warrior monk! His muscle was very defined and his abs were downright sexy!

He was only wearing a tight pair of underwear.

I turned the other way, "Is something wrong?"

"I'm giving you privacy", I told him, "Are you getting dressed into normal clothes?"

"Yes", he answered, "In K'un-Lun, we got dressed in front of each other all the time, is that not the case here?"

"It is under certain circumstances", I said.

"And right now wasn't a good time?", he questioned.

"I just wanted to give you some privacy", I told him. That wasn't why, I was readjusting the boner in my pants before I turned back around, but I wasn't about to tell him that!

A few minutes later we were walking to a helicopter that took us to an undercover SHIELD land base. We walked out and went over to a cafe.

"What would you two like?", the waitress asked Danny and I.

"I'll have a (Just pick a bloody drink that you can get at a cafe. Well, not a bloody one obviously, unless you like that kind of drink. Or if you're a vampire. Right, excuse my ranting.)", I said.

"And I'll have a green tea, please", Danny told her.

"Alright", she replied, leaving to get our drinks made.

"Green tea? How very monk-y of you", I joked.

"I prefer it to normal teas and coffees", he informed me, "It's calming".

"That's fair", I said, the waitress then bringing our drinks over.

We both took a sip of our drinks.

"So how long have you been working at SHIELD for?", Danny asked me, putting his drink on the table.

"As soon as I turned nineteen", I informed him, "They saw I had potential. I was the best in my school and they even set up a mugging to see how well I can defend myself. When I impressed them, they recruited me and I became one of the best in their SHIELD classes too. I'm just too inexperienced to be taken to Level 6 yet."

He nodded.

"Is there anything you're comfortable telling me?", I asked him.

"Like what?"

"I don't know, apart from being an agent of SHIELD, there's not much else you're going to get out of me", I told him. And that was true, I don't have a life outside of my job.

"Not even about your life outside of SHEILD?"

"I live on the helicarrier, I don't have a life outside of my job", I chuckled.

His eyes widened, "Really?"

"No offence, boss, but I don't think you get to judge me, do you have much of a life outside of being the Iron Fist?", I questioned.

"Two things", Danny told me, "I'm not your boss. Well, I don't see it that way, so please don't call me that, second, I still have to finish off high-school, I only just turned eighteen recently".

"Happy birthday", I replied, "And you are my boss".

He put his hand on mine, causing me to falter. "I'd rather see you as a partner than my employee or assistant".

Partner?

Oh, right! There's no way he's gay, or into me.

He's the Iron Fist and most likely straight, I'm just an expendable agent.

"Alright, so no calling you boss, then", I said.

"Thanks", he smiled warmly, taking another sip from his herbal tea.

We talked for a while, I actually really enjoyed spending time with him.

His phone started ringing, he answered it, "Yes? We'll be right there".

"An assignment already?", I asked.

He nodded, "We need to get there as soon as we can".
