The Stranger that I had loved

As I fell asleep

A hand caressed my cheek

As gentle as the cool breeze

That softly blows the autumn leaves.

I had sweet dreams

No worries, no screams.

Only that hand could keep me safe

Inside a warm embrace.

In the arms of this perfect yet mysterious stranger.

Whose arms will protect me from any danger.

I give my surrender

In this peaceful slumber

I’ll close my eyes

Knowing this stranger would be by my side

Knowing that he’ll always be a mystery

Knowing  that his face I will never see.
