+a/n: @nattosu 's request of "a tall blonde guy with glasses who looks like he's out for murder"! i hope you enjoy this and thanks for much for the request and all the love!
you always wanted to learn volleyball as it had always been a sport that impressed you since it never seemed like you could get it right no matter how many matches you watched, no matter how many times you rewatched a volleyball anime.
and after you got together with the tall and lanky blonde with glasses who looks like he's out for murder, it was all the more a reason to learn the sport so you could have another area of common interest.
but tsukishima being tsukishima, refused to teach you since he would always end up mocking you about your height and terrible receiving skills instead. but you knew he was just being plain lazy and would much rather be doing more productive things as he never saw the day where you'll succeed at the sport.
but, you really, absolutely, definitely wanted to nail the sport to not only prove him wrong but also to impress him.
you thought it'll be a good idea to practice playing the sport in order to astonish your dear boyfriend but, it was not a good idea to seek help from male players like bokuto, kuroo and akaashi. especially with one of them is a celebrated top ace and spiker.
this is the third friday afternoon you're practising with the three guys in the university's recreational centre since tsukishima ended classes much later than the rest of you.
you didn't take into much consideration about the slippery court until you attempted to receive one of bokuto's spikes and ended up slipping. instead of being able to celebrate your successful receive in a while, all you were left with was a sprained right ankle.
akaashi sat next to you in the infirmary and had your right foot nicely wrapped in a cast. he was even nice enough to write down a list of exercises that are helpful for a sprained ankle.
on the other hand, bokuto and kuroo were making far too much noise.
"bro, you're so dead. tsukishima is going to kill you for doing this to (f/n)-chan," kuroo dramatically announced.
"i know," bokuto whined and ruffled his hair frustratedly, he could already see tsukishima's glare and a knife in his hand— a knife in his hand?!? his life flashed right before his eyes and he fearfully turned to kuroo, "bro, can you be the organiser for my funeral after i'm dead?."
kuroo nodded kindly and placed a hand on bokuto's shoulder, "you can count on me, bro."
the latter's eyes started to water, emotionally, he lets out a "bro..."
their heart-rendering exchange was interrupted when the door of the infirmary swung open, revealing a frantic looking tsukishima, "what the hell happened?!"
the sound of tsukishima's voice immediately sent a chill down bokuto's spine.
"ah, you're here," akaashi ignored kuroo and bokuto as he proceeded to explain the situation to tsukishima, "(l/n)-san was trying to receive one of bokuto-san's spikes when she slipped, and therefore ended up with a sprained ankle."
"what?" as they predicted, tsukishima shot bokuto a dirty glare and was making the owl retreat back towards the wall.
you rolled your eyes at the blonde's antics as you limped over to him, "alright, alright, we don't need to murder anyone here, why not we all go home? it's akaashi's turn to cook today right? can i come over?"
"you're staying with me over the weekend, i'm not going to let you stay in your dorm room alone like that," tsukishina turned to you as he scanned your from head to toe, meticulously checking for any other scratches or injuries.
kuroo let out a sigh of relief he didn't even know he was holding in, thankful tsukishima didn't murder bokuto just yet, "yeah, you should over, (f/n)-chan, that'll be okay with the rest of us. bokuto can be your personal servant for the weekend."
"i will?"
"i wouldn't trust bokuto-san with that," akaashi politely chimes in, "but yes, do come over, we'll be fine with that."
"i wouldn't say no to free food and accommodation so, let's go!"
tsukishima insisted you not walk with an injury. so here you are, getting a ride on your boyfriend's back, looking like some kid on the 190cm tall male. you definitely were getting some odd stares from the people that walked past.
the five of you walked in silence (which is rare but bokuto was really afraid of pissing tsukishima off. he still really treasured his life so he wasn't taking any chances) on your way to their shared apartment not too far from the university campus.
and you were very well aware tsukishima was throwing daggers from his eyes at poor bokuto the whole time.
you hit him at the back of his head, exasperated with his overly protective behaviour, "stop glaring at bokuto-san, would you? it was my fault i didn't clean up the court properly before practising."
"but he should've been gentler with the ball when playing with you!"
"i was the one who initiated they teach me!"
"but still—"
"then you should've agreed to teach me how to play!"
"okay! i will!"
"oya?" akaashi turned to tsukishima in surprise.
"oya? oya?" bokuto finally looked over as well, clearly stunned as well that tsukishima agreed to your request.
"oya? oya? oya?" kuroo looked pleased, "lovely, now we have four people teaching (f/n)-chan how to play volleyball, she'll be a star player in no time!"
"please stop calling her by her first name."
"no please don't stop, i like it!" you teased, "kei-chan here, has never called me by my first name and i prefer it that way."
you felt tsukishima flinch as he heard you call him by his first name, "k-kei chan?"
"awh, that's so cute!" bokuto commented.
"i haven't forgiven you, bokuto-san." tsukishima curtly cuts him off.
dejected, bokuto quickly retreated behind akaashi again.
